Thank you so much for praying for California. There is so much wickedness and lawlessness here. We need a revival in California. Please pray for our churches. They need to be places of truth and light. Filled with Holy Spirit conviction, and I am not seeing that in my local area. It's not a local problem though. When I vacationed out of state I visited a "church" with my child and grandchild, that grieved my spirit. It was a motivational speech and a concert. Didn't have much to do with actual teaching and preaching the Bible, and was so dark I couldn't have read my Bible inside the sanctuary if my life depended on it. The thing that stumped me was the uniformed police officers stationed INSIDE the building! With guns! This was the first time I've encountered that. It was in what appeared to be a fairly safe looking area.
We need to call these churches out.
In prayer.
My heart breaks over the condition of the church in general.
Yes, Donna, it was 6.7 or something, which is a powerful earthquake. So far the reports show a few injured. The area of the quake was quite rural and many are without power. I will be praying as I hear more news throughout the day.
Thank you GiGi for being faithful to pray. How are you doing? How are your feet?
Do you have friends and or family who live in the area? I have church family in the area and thank God they're all fine. Some are cold. Without heat. And all were without power.
Helpful advice, check your generator occasionally to make sure it works so that when an emergency does hit, it'll be up and running.
Hello Donna, you , too, have been faithful to pray for request on here. We make a good team.
My feet are improving from last week. I have been trying to rest more. I think I overdid it a week ago Monday when I did laundry at the laundromat for my sister-in law. They had a house fire a month ago and I filled up the back of my truck with bedding, linens, and clothing that is salvageable. Did 9 giant loads at the laundromat. Took 5 hours to complete with washing, drying, folding, and dividing into sealable bins. So, being on my feet for those 5 hours must have made them flair up along with my shoulders and hip. So, things are calming down now. Thankful for that. Go to the podiatrist Jan 2nd for a recheck. Then we go from there with a plan.
How is Daniel doing? I continue to pray for him.
Donna, you are such a blessing and I am so glad to be on this forum and met you. I have a handful of people I see here in my neck of the woods, but I don't spend time in crowded situation, especially at this time of year with all the respiratory viruses being raging. These are what make me very sick and kick up my asthma symptoms big time. So, praying that I continue to avoid coming down with any that are stewing and being passed around. I am getting used to not being as social as I once was, but I need to stay as healthy as I can.
My hubby and I will celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary tomorrow. We still have a few dozen years left, God willing. I want to be as healthy as I can as we grow old together.
Sister GiGi, I meant to respond sooner but I'm staying with my children helping out as they do the commercial Christmas . Trying to serve in love as unto the Lord. I tired.I forgot how hard raising children full time is. It certainly can wear you down.
I need a touch and a refilling of the Holy Spirit today. I just long to have those free moments to sit at Jesus feet to worship and pray. At home.
I'm glad you're feeling better. Yes that was quite the laundry haul but I know your sister in law is grateful. I'm praying for them right now concerning their house fire.
All my children and grandchildren are together this morning in the same house. Daniel is here. He is alive and doing so much better than last year.
It's been 9 months since he went to rehab. He (by the grace of God) completed 6 months there and just finished a 3 month program here that taught him basic carpentry skills while paying him $16 per hour to learn.
The program was a great success this time.Because of that they are expanding it to the local college. That's because the Lord was all up in it. Thank You Jesus!
The program is for all kinds of people and does not discriminate against recovering addicts or homelessness. We just attended the graduation ceremony.
Gods plan is always good. For the hope and future Daniel has today I am truly thankful. We almost lost him to addiction and homelessness.
God hears our prayers and that is why Daniel is alive today and celebrating Christmas with his family. I never gave up hope or stopped praying. Thank you for praying and bombarding Heaven with me!
Thanks to all who prayed and continue to pray for Daniel. My hearts desire is to see my kids come into their very own personal walk with the Lord and to get on the narrow road that leads to everlasting life.
Merry Christmas to you and yours. We are all here at our house. Still recovering with a cough and fatigue, so am not cooking this time.
So glad that Daniel is doing so well and has such a promising life ahead. Praise the Lord, for He is good, His mercies never cease and His love never fails!
In case I don't get a chance to come here tomorrow, I would like to congratulate you and your husband on 43 years of marriage. What a blessing. My wife and I just celebrated our 39th last month.
Also, please know that I have been praying for you. I'm not one to normally type my prayers out here but please know that I do pray for many of the requests here, not all because some things I'm just not comfortable asking the Lord for.
Anyway, I'm starting to ramble. Happy anniversary!!!
I appreciate your prayers. We both have had long marriages. That is a blessing and unusual in today's world. God knew what He was doing when He picked us for one another.
The good thing about having an anniversary close to Christmas is that it gives us an evening out for ourselves amidst the busyness of Christmas for our families over the years.
Thank you for praying for so many people on here. God hears our prayers and is faithful to answer in the best ways.

I pray you both have good health and many blessings in your remaining years together.
May the Lord raise up a standard and a covering over your marriage and home. In Jesus mighty name, amen.
