I pray that my son will marry, for the past 12 years we have been urging him to marry, God blessed him financially, but he refused to marry, I pray that he will know God , and God will change his mind so that He can marry and I pray that God will soften his heart to marry and know God almighty In Jesus Name. Amen
It's NOT GOOD for a man to be alone. There are biblical exceptions to that as stated. But what would be even worse is for your son to end up with a wicked sinful woman.
It would be wise for us to ask for Gods will in a mate for your son. Then wait. Knowing we have sought the Lords will in the matter. Trust that GODs will be done.
Forgot to add: dear esteemed brother or sister of the faith, you and your blessed spouse's time...may not BE GOD's time, yet, beloved! Maybe your GOD HAS INDEED prepared a GOODLY wife for your son, but perhaps GOD is still pruning this young eoman, and making her roses perfect enough FOR your son! Remember, the Devil is oft to cause us to be in a rush, bit the LORD is perhaps, in hare time...mraning..slow and steady! Perhaps both your son & the damsel have IMPORTANT work for the LORD to accomplish 1st, B4 they go to serving each other! It MAY BE, as marriage is a FULL-TIME job, and GOD would no distractions from his work. It maybe that GOD would your son to not marry, OR to wait until he is elderly & then, his wife of his old age will delight in her heart to take care of him! GOD's got a different watch than we have, plus, "you can't hurty love! No! You just have to wait!" Not a Biblical quote, but it IS..."Supreme..." in truth-speak on this matter!
Pray to the LORD that you will not pressure neither stress your son! 12 Years, you love him, it seems, but 12 years is a LONG TIME to be pressured in matter. Perhaps there haven't been good daughters -in-law worthy if taking HIS (family) NAME....
Ask GOD to give you and your beloved spouse PATIENCE! You see, GOD is the matchmaker. If He has created a wonderful, and beautiful woman worthy of being your daughter-in-law& worthy of SERVING YOU and your spouse into a good old age, then GOD will know just the right time to pluck that ripe fruit from HIS Vine&gift it to thine!
Perhaps be as the pastor & begin praying for this woman now, too! IF GOD wills you a beloved daughter-in-law, pray GOD perfect both she & your son, that they serve one another & GOD blissedly, perfectly! Also, pray for her lufe's trials, prosperity & successes & strength & health, etc! Unless your son is a child, she's on the earth already, no? IF GOD wills this!
Since your message to me personally showed up in this thread on my account page (but not here in the actual post) I will respond to you here.
I'm sorry you felt I did those things to you. I was agreeing with a lot of the points you made. Again, please forgive me for offending you. I'm so sorry. You've been in my thoughts and prayers. I truly hope you're well.
10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. -( Matthew 19: 10-12)
NOW concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.
9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
-( I Corinthians 7:1-17, but I ran out of room) Unless your son cannot contain his flesh, please cease from pressuring him esteemed brother or sister of the faith. He is able to focus. If he marries, and his wife beareth seed: Matthew 24:19!

Council, you have certainly received some of that here.
Praise God!

I pray that the Father will indeed soften his heart to marry. In Jesus name. Amen.
May God bless you with a lovely daughter in law and beautiful grandchildren. And I pray that Jesus will be the center of their hearts and home.
