Bible Discussion Thread

Hello praying friends. I thank you for lifting me up in prayer last week. I am still under the weather from this virus and my symptoms were getting better but are now getting worse. Mu throat is so irritated and sore that I am having breathing difficulties from it narrowing and spasms of the larynx that close off my airway for a few minutes. I cannot breath in nor out during these times. Went to the doctor and started prednisone to combat the inflammation and swelling in my airways and a better cough suppressor to reduce the coughing because it is so painful to cough or swallow. The coughing and inflammation in my throat trigger these spasms. So these two things need to be taken away for me to be "out of the woods". This is what happens when I get respiratory viruses. I am thankful that the last one was in March of 2020. I am painfully reminded of how they work in me.

I would appreciate your prayers for me this week, also, as I my body continues to battle this reaction to the virus. God knows what is going on in me down to the cellular and atomic levels, so I trust that He will be at work in me to heal me.

Pray this days finds you a bit better if not completely healed. Look up "Cardamom", it is to have healing oils & extracts for your ailments too.

Thanks again, Texsis. I finally was able to sleep a bit this morning, but the night was still rough. The prednisone must be beginning to reduce the inflammation. But am still coughing a lot, but throat is not so sore. Thanks for all of the prayers and the love.

Dear Father God we lift up GiGi in prayer and ask for a total healing of her body. Please rid her of this illness in the name of Jesus. Please comfort her, strengthen her immune system and allow this illness to quickly pass. We pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Adam, thank you for asking.

I am improving but slowly. Still coughing and very fatigued. Went back to the Dr. yesterday and started another round of antibiotics and prednisone. My chest x-ray was clear and my blood labs showed slightly elevated white blood cells. So, thus the reason for the antibiotic. The Dr. said I may have "walking pneumonia" which is an atypical presentation of pneumonia. I still use my nebulizer, which helps. My airways just overreact so much to respiratory infections. It is hard for me to kick them without medication support. But I hope that when I finish this round of meds, I will be well. Frustrating, but I ma glad I am not like I was at the start of this. I just have to talk things slow and easy and not do too much or do things that take a long time. I don't have the stamina to do that. Lots of breaks!

Atypical pneumonia a.k.a., walking pneumonia is a milder form of pneumonia from a different bacteria that causes normal pneumonia. So, although it is not as severe as normal pneumonia and rarely causes hospitalization, it can still be severe enough for people with asthma and C.O.P.D. and other ongoing diseases. So, I am in this group with asthma, so that is probably why i ma having more of a problem than others who get atypical pneumonia. But I have all the necessary meds now and am glad I am retired so I can take it easy and slow. I pray that I will be fully recovered before my carpal tunnel surgery in my other hand on Feb 2nd.

Hello Adam, I am happy to report that I am feeling so much better. I am hoping this will continue after I finish the antibiotic and prednisone. But I want to thank you for your prayers. What a difference a week can make! Praise the Lord!

Hey GiGi sorry to hear of your health situation. I ask in Jesus name that you heal Gigi from the crown of her head to the soul of her feet. I pray that others touch and agree with me in this prayer. God is your doctor he is the medicine. Lean on him at all times he will supply . In Jesus name I pray Amen and Amen.

oh and take a 1/4 to half tsp of thyme to help with mucus. just chew it good yet if your still having dificilty swallowing put in a warm tea. look up motivationaldoc. He has a lot of good cures

GiGi, I'm so sorry your feeling this way. I know when I had a virus I was miserable and I wasn't nearly as sick as you. I'm sure you know all the old remedies to help besides the meds Doc gave you so take care to do them & keep reading encouraging prayers. Not the discouraging ones, some of them are to funny & you don't need to laugh at all right now. "Heavenly Father we thank you for your son Jesus & ask that you be with GiGi in her time of need making her well again & feel better soon. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.!"

Yes, Texsis. Drinking herbal tea with ginger, mint, chamomille. and honey to soothe my throat. Need to get some more slippery elm and licorice tea tomorrow. Gargling salt water. I may try the thyme. I read elsewhere that it helps with inflammation. Drinking lots of water. It hurts bad when I swallow even water, but I do it because it helps with so much.

Precious Heavenly Father, please help GiGi's body to fight off this respiratory illness quickly. I lift her up to You Father in Jesus name asking for a special touch from Heaven. Raise her up off her sick bed. Be with her, let Angel's minister. Nothing can stand against Your Holy Spirit. Pour out Your healing, mercy, and compassion upon her. Rebuke this illness Lord and it SHALL be gone in Jesus name. Thank You Lord.
