Please pray to God that I may heal; From all my maladies both physical and mental. I know he is able, and can do all things. But I know I am not worthy.
Always enjoy reading your comments; like a breath of fresh air. Respectfully though,I have difficulty processing statements regarding the unworthiness of God's creation. I have five children, and I could never think or tell my little child he is unworthy of my love, thus deserving of punishment, condemning him/her to eternal damnation. How would we feel and react if our earthly father said that to us? Is this love? These type of thoughts have driven millions of people away, not closer to their Father; so sad. All of us on this site should seriously consider this. Dare we attempt to steel our brother's inheritance, as it is a sure way of asking for guilt, and I assure you, we will experience it.
How can we ever experience and extend true peace with this type of thought system? God is ETERNALLY patient.
Blessings and peace to you my brother. God would be incomplete (which is impossible) without you, as you are a part of Him.
Hello One Eighty. The way I understood what Sammi wrote, "that not one of us is worthy", is from the sinner's perspective. As you shared about never telling your child that he/she was unworthy of your love, I agree that from God's view, we as sinners, are certainly deserving & needy of His Love, for that is why such a great Sacrifice & Pardon was given.
But from your child's perspective, having erred in some way, as all of us sinners do before God, his or her sense of failing you, upsetting you, maybe bringing on discipline, might well bring on sadness for failure to meet your expectations & to receive a deserved punishment. As sinners, pardoned or not, there will always be the sense of failing to meet God's high standards & unworthiness to have received such grace. That we have now been adopted into His family & accepted in the Beloved, should not diminish from our thoughts what our state once was & the telling words from the Apostle Paul to the believers: "thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear". To hold the LORD in deep reverence will always cause us reflect on His great Goodness towards us, which in turn might somewhat reflect on how a child might feel when he has erred his earthly father. We will always be unworthy to have received God's Goodness, but having received it, we "rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory".
You're welcome. Sometimes we might not fully understand the message that the writer is conveying, so it's good to ask questions to confirm what's presented, lest we get further off the track & be disappointed unnecessarily. I always appreciate the encouraging words you share with so many. Blessings.
Hi to you too , totally get where you are coming from . When I said that none of us are worthy I was trying to make it clear that none of us are better or worse than any other person , God loves us all even though we are all sinners and God is no respecter of persons . I should maybe have made myself clearer and explained myself better . Thanks for your answer and I read and appreciate all your comments . May God bless you .
You must also remember that some times in our lives we will suffer , and God permits this , He knows what He is doing and why He is doing it , we won't always ,maybe we never know why we are permitted to suffer in this life , all we need to do is trust Him , lean on Him and ask Him to bring us through our trials . Remember Job ? Be strong and of good cheer , God won't leave you .
Logan , be assured that not one of us is worthy . God is love , believe in Him and His Son , read the Bible , pray to God and thank Him every day for the good things in your life , trust in His love and mercy and , you ask Him , we will for sure , but your honest open hearted prayers to Him will be so much more powerful . Don't be afraid , He loves you and knows you perfectly , submit to Him . He will never send you down a wrong path , we get ourselves into trouble but if we call on Him with an open heart , He will hear and heal you . This isn't a one day relationship , commit yourself , be as a little child before Him . May God bless and heal you , through the name of Jesus Christ the Righteous , amen .
Join the party my friend.
None of us are worthy! It's all God's mercy and Grace!
Titus 3:3-7.
No one had to qualify.
We had to believe on him whom God sent. Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US.
God bless you.
