Bible Discussion Thread

Hi everyone, please pray for my family to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. I've been telling them about Jesus for years and they won't listen. Thank you all and God bless you.

It's a bit of a balancing act isn't it ? You want to tell everyone but especially those you love the most . But , you already know that they are not interested , so what do you do ? I know that you have to be careful that you don't only talk about the Truth , otherwise it looks as if you are being either ignorant or aggressive if someone has already told you that they are not interested , if you persist you can end up pushing people away from you for ever . We don't want that . Timing is also important , get that wrong and things can be a disaster , getting it right makes a big difference . Remember to just be who you are to other people , husband , father , brother , son , uncle etc . It helps if you can first get people to like you just for who you are as a person , then they might want to get to know you better , find out what makes you tick , why you are so happy and easy going etc . That's maybe when you can tell them why you are the person you are and what you believe etc . It's hard not to push I know , I want everyone to know what I know and feel how I feel . Just try to be a living example of a person who believes in and trusts God and Jesus . You never know how you are already affecting the lives of those around you , they won't always tell you that they like the fact that you are a Christian , that doesn't mean they don't appreciate your Christian values and ways . My son's in law don't swear because of my daughter's , my boss knows he can trust me with money etc because he knows I'm a Christian . Our ways can rub off on people without us ever knowing about it . My in laws don't take the Lords name in vain any more because they don't want to offend me . Just little changes but little changes may become big ones eventually . Be patient .
