If I told my child to believe in me, or else he would send me off to suffer in eternal hell, and in addition I told him he has the free will to choose to believe or not; what kind of free will is this? He would tremble in fear, which in fact is not an experience one would find within the experience and PRESENCE of love. He would either very eagerly proclaim his belief out of an experience of utter terror, and thus his faith would not be genuine and he would not truly honor and love me. Or he would be driven away, instead of being drawn near to his threatening father. There is no freedom in this.
Love cannot give evil, and what is not happiness is evil. God cannot give what He does not have, and He cannot have what He is not. Unless God gives you only happiness, He must be evil. And it is this definition of Him we are believing if we do not accept that He gives only happiness.
In contrast, fear and hate cannot give happiness, and what is not evil is happiness. "Satan" cannot give (happiness) what he does not have, and he cannot have what he is not.
Good teachers never terrorize their students. Teach only love. Our belief in fear cannot be resolved through the mastery of fear. The true resolution rests entirely on mastery through Love.
I agree, as humans there is nothing good in us, except for the Christ, Who is Holy and in us. Yet we must choose our identity. It cannot be both, as they have NOTHING in common. What does not share a common purpose has a different focus and goal. The goal of flesh is of a different source than the focus and goal of Christ. The function of Christ is innocence and heaven while the function of the flesh is guilt and hell. We as humans have the tendencies to switch this around. Why should the good appear in evil's form, and is it not deception if it does? We should attempt to remove our focus from our brother's sins so that we can experience the peace that comes from faith in sinlessness (innocence). We who are not at war within our minds must look for bothers and recognize all whom we see as brothers, because only equals are truly at peace. We may want to consider truly what is the vision of Christ.

God will never decide against you, or He would be deciding against Himself. Love creates Itself and nothing but Itself. Satan does not want you to believe this, for obvious reasons.
Dear "One eighty", what you write is so true. Since you put a question mark after what is the meaning of this. May we add something. Briefly from my own life with Jesus Christ. Let everyone get light on the matter Lord. We ask for wisdom and the spirit of truth to come to help us here so everyone gets this explained. We have a mighty God who understands all good and evil. For Him nothing is hidden and no one is forgotten. Since we humans often don't know what to do. Unsure, we strive and want to do the best. No one wants to do evil. Nor do we do that if we believe in Him whom God has sent Jesus Christ. When we then believe in Him and want to do good to our neighbour, we start a network of good helpers, angels and other people. It's not just me alone in this. For we receive nothing unless it has been given to us by the Lord. It also means that when we know God's care in this. Then we know we are doing the right thing. None of this is a matter of course of good and bad. Only for me then, who is a Christian, a certainty of and not reach to Him who has saved me. We will never leave Him, because we know He is good. The only good one actually. I was tested on that yesterday afternoon when I spoke on the phone. The person I spoke to mentioned a person who is dead for good.
