    To my adversaries, with love:

Hebrews 2:8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet, For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see NOT YET all things put under him.

When do you believe this will happen?

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will DO NOTHING, but he revealeth his secret to his servants THE PROPHETS.

Read 1 Cor.15:23-28, then read Rev.20:11-15. It will be at the great white throne judgment when death is destroyed.

Hello Ruby. I'm not an adversary, whomever they might be. And so may I be permitted to respond?

There are differing opinions on these verses, but my understanding is this: the Hebrews writer continues his thought from chapter 1, of Christ's superiority over the angels (something the Jews would've balked at, since this Jesus, to them, was just an ordinary man of a humble, poor, despised disposition). But referring to angels, God had not put them "in subjection to the world to come" ( Hebrews 2:5); here the "world" (oikoumene) means the 'inhabited world' & not a future state of the world. But God had set man, even to the sons of men, in a lower position to the angels, "crowning him with glory & honour", over all His creation. What was intended, never came to fruition, as man relegated his honored position by giving way to sin; he might still exercise much control though inadequately, even flawed, but he could never have "all things put under him" (v8).

And then verse 9: "But we see Jesus": also made a little lower than the angels, for the specific purpose of sacrifice, but now "crowned with glory and honour". Where man had failed to hold what his Creator had blessed him with, Jesus came & received that Glory & Power, even becoming the "captain of our salvation", "bringing many sons unto glory" - making all creation subject to Him & also those who have turned to Him.

When will we see this (v8) happen? I think, when Jesus returns to Earth, with His saints ruling with Him and Satan is bound. All creation will once again be subject to the Son of man & to the sons of men; but fully realized when Satan is finally cast into the Lake of Fire & the new heavens & earth are ushered in.

    Good evening, Ruby Lea,

I don't believe that anyone on this forum is your adversary. We are brethren. But we can speak to what others post as to whether we agree or not and why or say when we think something posted seems to be in error. This is our responsibility as brethren. But I hope that you have a good evening and refrain from spending too much time thinking that any of us are your adversary. Praying for one another is always in order. This is what I usually do when a conversation becomes uncomfortable or challenging. I will be praying for you tonight during my prayer time.

Oh, and welcome to this site, as it seems that you are new. I may be wrong on that. But I am glad to have you here. God will do good work in all of us here.
