Sorry I'm late on my response I haven't been on here for a while working little too much lol
Yes you are correct The word rapture does not occur in the Bible but The term comes from a Latin word meaning "a carrying off, a transport, or a snatching away." The concept of the "carrying off"the church is clearly taught in Scripture.
God "snatches away" all believers from the earth in order to make way for His righteous judgment to be poured out on the earth during the tribulation period. The rapture is described primarily in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-54. God will resurrect all believers who have died, give them glorified bodies, and take them from the earth, along with all living believers, who will also be given glorified bodies at that time. "For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever" ( 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
But this gathering or being caught up will happen after the Tribulation. That is the only 'rapture" taught explicitly in Scripture. It will be a visible glorious coming. All eyes will see it, not just believers. It will not be secret. it is not imminent but is explicitly stated as coming after the falling away, appearance of the son of perdition, after the Tribulation. so if it is openly and actually stated this way, we should believe what the Scriptures say and not try to "read into" Scripture by inference what is not clearly taught.
Repent of your sins before the lord Jesus Christ and confess your sins before Jesus Christ and believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins at the cross.
how many Christians will be saved during the rapture ? Read Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
how do u turn ur life to Jesus? By acknowledging and confessing to the Lord that we are sinners in need of his salvation. Inviting him into our lives asking him to take over Nothing fancy nothing complicated
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 10:9 if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved
BUT KNOW THIS once you make that confession of repentance there's a great celebration in heaven
Jesus said, "I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents" ( Luke 15:10)
Praise the Lord I pray the Lord your strength and guidance that he bless you and bring people around you that are after his own heart. God bless
There is no Rapture. In fact that word was invented, it not in any Bible.
Believe it or not at the final verses of the gospel of John, Jahshua tells Peter what is it to you if I will that he tarry till I come? He's alive on Earth today according to this scripture, tarrying (waiting) for Jahshua to return. In John's epistle he tells us that he will be our companion during the Tribulation. He will be there with us as he said that he would be. The only way he could do that is if he was here on Earth, to be our companion.
The pre-tribulation theory is that the righteous will be caught up in the clouds before the Tribulation with Jahshua.
But John is no doubt righteous. Why then if there be a Rapture, would he remain with the wicked and not be caught up?
The Rapture is nothing new. It is the fly-away from destruction doctrine written in the book of Ezekiel. (There is Nothing new under the sun. That which once was is that which shall come.[Ecclesiastes])
Ezekiel 13:18 "...Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alivethat comeunto you?
19And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and **to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hearyourlies**?
So preaching this Rapture theory is nothing new under the Sun. Jah told Ezekiel to preach against it in the days of ancient and old.
Wolves in sheep's clothing preach comfort to gain more people into their congregation for more wealth to be gained rather than preaching the truth as they did in the days of Ezekiel.
