Part.2) v.30 tells us Jesus (appears), that verse also tells us He appears with power and great (glory). (31. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. ((When Jesus returns riding a white horse nobody is gathered together because we are already there with Him, we return with Him)), see (Rev.19:11-16) In Col.3:4 Tell us "When Christ, who is our life, SHALL APPEAR, then shall ye also appear with him (in glory). Mt.24.30 He comes with power and great (glory). 1.Pet.5:4 And when the chief Shepperd (shall appear), ye shall receive a crown (of glory) that fadeth not away. (The chief Shepperd is Jesus) 1.Jn.3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, WHEN HE SHALL APPEAR, (we shall be like him); for we shall see him as he is. Phil.3:20-21 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: (21. Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned unto his (glorious body), according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. When Christ appears, we appear with Him in glory, we are given a crown of glory, our body is fashioned like unto His glorious body.. (We change from flesh bodies to spiritual bodies, in the twinkling of an eye) In 1 Cor.15:50 we are told ' Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God,.. ( We are tested before the return of Christ in the clouds, He returns in the clouds (Immediately AFTER the tribulation) so our test will be DURING TRIBULATION! The word tribulation is #2347; it means pressure, afflicted (-tion), anguish, burdened, persecution, tribulation, trouble, suffer tribulation. Do the words that define the word tribulation not sound like a testing? That fiery trial that is to try us will be going through great tribulation to test our faith!

    Jimbob,

    Good thoughts here.

My only response is that I know that when Jesus resurrected, He did so bodily, and He returned to the Father to be glorified and then He appeared to the apostles and many other disciples before ascending into heaven on the very body that was resurrected, one of flesh and bones, as He said to Thomas. So I believe that our glorified bodies will be physical, like Jesus' body is, yet glorified with properties that we do not currently possess. He became man, which includes a physical body, and He will always be both God and man. So, I believe that He will forever have a human nature and divine nature in a physical body. A full human nature includes a physical body. I think we will see Him as He truly is, God in perfect humanity. And, I think that we will be like Him in His perfect humanity only, as we will then possess perfect humanity forever. That is our glorification. Our bodies will not be exactly like our earthly bodies, because we have put on immortality and incorruption, but we will be resurrected in our earthly body which is then glorified as Jesus' body was glorified. A truly spiritual body does not have flesh and bones, as Jesus said to Thomas. God has determined that mankind will always have a physical body, both in this earthly life and in the life to come.

Jimbob, your post gave me many things to think about, but this aspect of it really stuck out to me. Be blessed.

GiGi In 1. Cor.15:42-44 (42. So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: (43. It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in (glory): it is sown in weakness; it is raised in (power): (44. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. These verses tell us the body is sown a natural body, and raised a spiritual body. Also raised in (glory) and raised in (power) Remember in Mt.24:30 . ., and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with ((power)) and great ((glory)). The rapture is Immediately AFTER the tribulation, and the dead are raised in a spiritual body. 1 Cor.15:50 tells us that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. So if the dead are raised in a spiritual body then our flesh, which cannot enter into the kingdom of God will also have to be a spiritual body. Right? Thank you for replying GiGi.

    Jimbob:

I agree with GiGi; Christ was raised a body of flesh and bone, no longer needing blood to be the LIFE, but SPIRIT to be THE LIFE.

We will be given that same BODY,: at the death of this body, flesh and bone, and SPIRIT being the LIFE of that body.

We have to come to TRUTH, we exist NOW by that LIFE, we are just the BODY of that LIFE, and that LIFE is Christ.

WE DIED with Christ, we were RAISED with Christ, we just haven't gotten our NEW BODY yet.

This is a hard saying and most want agree with it, the multiplication of SEED, the word of God (Christ) is the SEED: Luke 8:11

Many are called, few find THE WAY.

John 14:6 I AM THE WAY and THE TRUTH and THE LIFE.

When Christ ascended into heaven he had a body, heaven is symbolic of MANKIND, Christ ascended into YOU and I, we are that BODY, the temple of God, the OLD was a shadow of the NEW, the CLOUD (God) was over and in the tabernacle, the CLOUD is now over and in the tabernacle (MANKIND, You and I and all others), Christ said he would appear in THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN, we are those clouds of heaven, Christ said his words are HIDDEN in symbols and PARABLES.

Just as you said: a puzzle within a puzzle.

    God Bless YOU!

Ruby Lea Read When one dies the spirit goes to be with God who gave it, yes that is where the life is. The soul goes to the grave with the flesh, the body. Do you think the corruptible flesh will raise from the grave at the return of Christ, or will the soul raise to meet the spirit which will return with Christ? 1.Cor.15:42-44 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption. The word (incorruption) is #861; it means incorruptibility, unending existence, genuineness, immortality, incorruption, undecaying, immortal. ((Undecaying)) Flesh decays! (43. It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. (44. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. The flesh is the natural body. It is raised, (the dead in Christ rise first) a spiritual body, which is undecaying, it is immortal. I Believe that every Word of God is True. These verses go against what you are saying. Also 1 Cor,15:50 again says "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God,. . You say we are those clouds that Christ will appear in! Acts.1:9-11 we are told "this same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. (A cloud received Him, so He will return in the clouds) Rev,:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so. Amen. Jesus Christ comes back IN THE CLOUDS to gather together His elect, (Mt.24:29-31) We are CAUGHT UP TO MEET HIM IN THE AIR, (1.Thes.4:17-18) We are CHANGED to spiritual bodies, (1 Cor.15:51-54) The flesh will not pop out of the graves, but the soul will. We must keep scripture in context for those puzzle pieces to fit together. Thanks for your reply Ruby.

    Jimbob:

    What is the soul?

At the second resurrection everyone that did not take part in the first resurrection, will be resurrected back to their flesh and blood bodies. The grave is the prison.

    Ezekiel 38, Revelation 20:7-8

    God Bless You!

    Jimbob:

You have to come to TRUTH that YOU, sinful flesh DIED on the cross, YOU no longer exist, Christ; ONLY, the BODY of the spirit of our Father, was RAISED; BY INHERITANCE YOU, also became the BODY (MANKIND is that BODY) of the Spirit.

1 Timothy 6:16 Who ONLY hath IMMORTALITY, dwelling in the light, which NO MAN can approach unto ...

1 Corinthians 12:27 ....you are the body of Christ .....

Are YOU the TEMPLE OF GOD, or is the Lord God Almighty, and the Lamb the TEMPLE OF IT, and YOU become ONE by HIS RESURRECTION and Christ GAVE YOU an inheritance, by sharing the SAME BODY: Revelation 21:22?

Ephesians 4:4 .....ONE body .... ONE spirit .....

1 Corinthians 15:53 ...this mortal MUST put on IMMORTALITY (Christ ONLY hath immortality)

1 Corinthians 15:38 But God giveth it (the NEW creation) a BODY as it hath pleased him, and to every SEED his (the Father's) OWN BODY (Christ is the BODY of the FATHER).

    God BlessYOU!

Jimbob, Yes I am aware of that verse in Corinthians, yet Jesus indeed had a physical body and said that "a spirit does not have flesh and bones" like He did when He presented Himself to Thomas. So perhaps there is more to this than both you and I know.

I know that the angels have spiritual or celestial bodies, but man was made with a physical body and that is what Jesus took upon Himself as God the Son, and He did rise bodily. He ate and drank with the apostles and could be physically touched. Scripture does not say that He divested Himself of this physical body that was raised and glorified. So, I think that our resurrection and glorification is perhaps something we must wait till it happens to truly know.

Have a good evening. Going off to bed soon.
