    Hi S Spencer,

    Thanks, a good post I agree with much of it but if I may ask a question? My understanding is the seventy weeks were fulfilled in Jesus's first coming and the entire prophecy is about Jesus.

    Correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding of placing the 70th week at the end times with the 7 years and the tribulation or great tribulation comes from the he in verse 27 being the antichrist that is antecedent for the prince that is to come in verse 26.

    Can the seven years and the he in verse 27 which refers to a prince of the Roman Empire be interpreted as the seven years with the antichrist in the future, when in Rev.13 the beast is only given 42 months from the time he ascends?

    I hope this makes sense and is not taken to be argumentative.

    God bless,

    RLW

    Hi Brother Ronald.

    Sorry for such a delay in getting back to you.

    I've been very busy at work.

    I enjoy our discussions.

    In vs 26 I believe where it says

    "AND THE PEOPLE OF THE PRINCE that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary;

    The people is the Romans.

    Their Prince "THAT SHALL COME" is the antichrist.

    Hello S. Spencer.

    Perhaps the Prince is the antichrist or perhaps it was Titus in 70A.D.

    GiGi;

    Daniel 9:25-28

    The prince is Christ.

    Daniel 9:25 ...now the MESSIAH the PRINCE ......

    Daniel 9:26 ....and the people of the PRINCE (Christ) that SHALL COME ----those born again, the New Creation in Christ ....

    Daniel 9:28 And he ( Messiah, the prince) shall make a COVENANT with many for ONE WEEK (the week of PASSOVER), and in the midst of the week (of passover) shall he cause the sacrifice and offering TO CEASE, and for the OVERSPREADING of ABOMINATION shall HE MAKE it DESOLATE, even until the consumption, and that DETERMINED ( Joel 2:28) shall be POURED on the DESOLATE.

    God Bless YOU!

    Forgive my ignorance please but would this be the same prince of Ezekiel ? I have always thought that this prince of Ezekiel can only be Christ , am I wrong ? Ezekiel is the hardest book for me , Isaiah used to be the hardest but that suddenly got much easier for me , then it was Jeremiah , I finally got to grips with Jeremiah and now it's Ezekiel that sometimes still leaves me stumped .

    Mel8:

    Yes, the prince in Ezekiel is the same prince, Christ.

    Your right Ezekiel is like Revelation, it takes the longest to understand.

    Just keep studying; if you don't understand something, ask God to cause you to understand, and go on, not dwelling on that not revealed, at some point God will reveal it to you.

    As God reveals himself to you, believe him and his words, not man and his words.

    God Bless You!
