Hello again

I ask for prayer for my son, Brian, his wife, Elfe, and her mother as they travel to Saudi Arabia for a few weeks.

Her mom wanted them to go with her to visit all of the Muslim holy sites. Please pray that their eyes will be opened to see the

deceitfulness of Islam and seek to find redemption in Jesus. I imagine it is pretty difficult for someone who was raised Muslim in

a country that is mostly Muslim to consider turning from Islam to Christ. This is vehemently opposed. My son was brought up

in a Christian home, so please pray that all those seed deposited in his soul from Bible teaching to germinate and grow to

convince him that there really is just one way to God, that is through faith in Jesus, on whom he once believed. Please pray for

God to complete what he started in Brian and to begin turning Elfe and her family towards repentance from idolatry and faith in

Jesus by the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit.

I sure will Gigi, You can count on it.

He's hanging in there, They're doing a great job making him comfortable.

I went to see him and talked and prayed with him.

We continue in prayer and accept God's will.

I am glad he is getting good care in this difficult time for him and you and your family.

I've doing an extensive study on the resurrection of the dead (or body) this past week. It comforts me to know that we all will be resurrected to a grander, perfected life with our Lord with bodies that have been made new by the power of the Holy Spirit.

I am glad to hear that you and your brother pray together. What a beautiful thing to share in the relationship that has existed for decades and decades.

Yes GiGi, I will keep Brian, his wife & mother-in-law before the Lord. This maybe her effort to eliminate his lukewarmness or even disinterest by influencing Brian to embrace Islam & establishing Islam further in his wife, by visiting these sites accompanied no doubt with dialogue about their importance. She may be hoping that by seeing their grandeur & the hordes of the faithful milling around these places, that this will demonstrate the validity of Islam.

Yet, the LORD has been known to do wonders, no matter how formidable a situation might seem to us. Brian has received God's Word & the Gospel in his heart - that Seed is enough to cause a sudden spiritual awakening & a resistance to all that is false that is placed in his view. What might be designed to provoke one towards Islam, could backfire as the LORD reveals the Truth from the Word & the errors of the other. This will certainly be a spiritual battle of the highest order. Those who have rejected Islam & turned to Christ, usually have had the Word of God brought to them at some time, & often is the case, the LORD speaking to them through visions or dreams. There seems no other avenue to gain a foothold except from such a personal encounter with the risen Christ - but the price for casting aside that which is false, is very high indeed.

And I continue to remember Jeff as his days on Earth grow shorter. May he see & grasp onto this heavenly Light bringing him salvation before it's too late. And that Steve will also get that perfect opportunity & burden by the Spirit, to be God's instrument to share with his friend the sure Hope, Salvation, & the glorious Eternity that is awaiting him, when there's nothing in him but fear & trembling in the prospect of dying. May the LORD be glorified & His Name be made known & called upon by each of these dear ones in their hour of spiritual need.
