The wrath of God is vengeance for the disobedient, non-believers in Jesus Christ! 1.Thes.5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. (Who is the "us" in this verse?) Jn.3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (So this verse tells us those who believe on the Son, (Jesus Christ) will have everlasting life. And those who don't believe on the Son, (Jesus Christ) the wrath of God abideth on him.) 1.Thes.1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which (delivered) us from (the wrath to come.) The word (delivered) is #4506; it means to rush or draw (for oneself) rescue. (So we are rescued from the wrath to come, to come means its not came yet. so we are taken away before the wrath of God is poured out. Remember believers on the Son have everlasting life, non-believers will have the wrath of God abideth on them. The word (wrath) is #3709; it means violent passion, or [justifiable] abhorrence, punishment, anger, indignation, vengeance, wrath. (Gods wrath is violent passion, punishment, anger, vengeance for their disobedience and them not believing in the Son) Rom.5:8-9 tells us we are saved from wrath through him. Col.3:6 For which things sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience. Eph.5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words; for because of these things cometh the wrath of God on the children of disobedience. The word (disobedience) is #543; it means disbelief, unbelief. When will this wrath come? Rev.11:15-19 The seventh trumpet, (the last trump) v.18 says "And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shoudest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shoudest destroy them which destroy the earth".
