Who is Mt 24:39 taking about being (took) away? Many people misinterpret verses in the Word of God and it throws off other parts of prophecy for them. (This is a perfect example of that) Lets look at Mt 24:37-39 and see who is (took) away. (37) But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (38) For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark. (39) And knew not until the flood came, and (took) them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Its kind of hard to understand who is (took) away unless we look at the word (took) in the original language. (took)#142; it means to lift, by implying to take up or away, to sail away, i.e. weight anchor, bear (up) take (away, up) The meaning of the word (took) shows us the continuation of verse 38 which says "until the day that Noe entered into the ark", the next verse "and (took) them all away". Noah and his family were the ones taken away, those left were left for destruction! Now lets look at the following verses that people also misinterpret as the (taken) are taken for judgment. Mt 24:40-42 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be (taken), and the other left. (41) Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be (taken), and the other left. (The word (taken) is #3880; it means to receive near, associate with oneself (in a familiar or intimate act or relation) to assume an office, receive, take (unto, with) (Those who are (taken) according to the meaning of this word are NOT TAKEN FOR JUDGMENT, but to receive near! (42) Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Jn 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and RECEIVE YOU UNTO MYSELF; that where I am, there ye may be also. Those (taken) are those Jesus receives unto himself. Context, along with study and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth. Blessings.
