"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
James 4:8a
"Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you...."
2 Timothy 2:15
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Lydia, before I was born again, I was a "half Christian" so to speak, sort of like you said, not 100%. The problem was, I believed and loved Jesus, but I didn't want to give up the world and my sins. I rarely read God's Word, etc. Something happened in my life, and I began reading God's Word...studying it, taking notes, everyday. I'm not kidding, I just started to change. I began to understand God's love for me, and what He wanted from me. I saw my sins for what they were and it broke me. I repented, and gave up the things I was hanging onto. I knew for the first time in my life, I was a true born again Christian. You have to get into God's Word, and be willing to turn from sin and the world. Look up "what is sancification", it's our Christian walk, learning and growing for the rest of our lives. The simple fact that you are asking for help, is your beginning.
