I'm a bit confused regarding whom you are addressing your post. You DO mention Adam in regards to sleeping, which I brought up in my reply to you, Josephus. Then you said, and I quote, "You stated God created Adam and Eve the sixth day." You must be speaking about someone else, because I didn't say as such.
Respectfully, please consider mentioning the name of the person or persons you are directly speaking to in order to avoid confusion, as it is frustrating to be misquoted. And of course, if you are making a general statement not specifically directed toward someone specific, then it's not necessary.
I didn't mention anything about Adam sleeping. I asked if Adam would receive salvation. You replied about the LORD causing a deep sleep to fall upon Adam. But it not saying he ever woke him up. This is Josephus. My account was locked. Anyway I'm not here to strive about things unprofitable for us. Maybe someone was using your username. I asked some questions if my own because you were telling me what's not written/said in God's WORD. I gave example myself. Gor any answers for that. I have no credentials. I'm just a little child. Who has an unction. That's all.
Nobody has used my user name except myself. You are right; my apologies for expressing my personal opinions, resulting in nothing profitable. I hope I have not caused you any harm. If and when I respond to you in the future, I will do my best to provide scripture only, less my meaningless banter. Please pray for me that the Holy Spirit would teach me how to communicate on a higher level.
One eighty this is same as sons of God replying. For some reason beyond me. The sure keeps locking me out. But anyway. Thank you for attempting to set things in order. For I understand how easily we get in HIS SPIRIT'S Way - I will pray for you and you do same for me. I respect your honesty and your humility in your receiving my mild rebuke. It wasn't really mine though. As you well know whose it was. Proverbs says. Rebuke a wise man and he will be yet wiser, teach a just man and he will increase in knowledge. And. As an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear. No!!! I'm not calling myself wise. Or wiser than you. Or wiser in my own eyes. For what I have I received. What I received I pass on. What I pass on will be passed on further. It's all God's and his Glory. I'm Elihu today next time you find Time check out this mysterious onlooker and audience of Job and his three friends. Not many people even ever speak of HIM when they talk of the book of Job. But Elihu rebukes them all. Reveals Jobs sin and ignorance and rebellion, and his friends. Justified God and was according to Jobs wish to stand in God's stead. It starts in chapter 32-his discourse ends in chapter 37 - then the Lord himself takes off. But Elihu was not even acknowledged by anyone. Nor did anyone answer him. Nor did the Lord speak about him. But I know this he had the Holy Ghost and he has received deep deep inspiration. And he was younger than they All. God bless
Don't beat yourself up so much ! You did nothing wrong , we all have opinions and our own personalities , it's human ! It's what we are and how God made us and He makes use of us through our personalities and opinions ! The alternative is mindless souless robots . Keep up the good posts please !
The Bible says that God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam; Genesis 2:21 . Where in scripture does it ever say he awakened? Therefore, how can he or anyone who inherits the Adamic nature have an awareness of receiving anything REAL while one is asleep. He, just as us, can only dream in a sleeping condition. And certainly we all realize dreams are what they are because of their illusion of reality.
Jesus strongly hinted of our sleeping condition: John 11:11 and Matthew 9:24 , where He also emphasized death should not be our concern, but rather sleep.
Also, many believe Jesus is God, meaning that God must have died on the cross. Yet, I don't think God can be killed or die. Nor do I believe can any of His Children whom He created. To believe so is literally a nightmare; a most frightening form of dreaming.
There is is no death because what God creates shares His Life. God is Life, therefore again, there is no death because an opposite to God does not exist. Only a mind asleep can have the frightening nightmare of a power that can oppose Him. Is it not possible that when we seemingly awaken in the morning from our dreams that we've merely shifted from one dream to another without really waking?
To your question about Adam and whether re received salvation or not.
After God confronted Adam with his sin and heard Adam's excuses, explained the consequences of his sin, and then promised the Redeemer o crush the enemy in Gen. 3:15, God sewed a garment of animal skins to cover his and Eve's nakedness.
Adam also taught Abel and Seth and most likely his other children to sacrifice to God and call on Him. He lived through 7 or 8 generations, and the Genesis account does not say much more about Adam, good or bad.
Paul contrasts Jesus to Adam in several of His epistles (Romans and 1 Corinthians 15 are two I know about off the top of my head) In these epistles, Paul was not saying that Adam was worse off than any other human, but that he was the one who brought sin and death into God's good creation.
My view is that Adam most likely received salvation. But we really do not know. Adam was not listed among the persons of faith in Hebrews 11 (it begins with Abel). We leave the salvation of each person up to God as far as whom He elects to salvation and how He judges each person.
We will find out when we get to heaven and meet those that make up that great cloud of witnesses spoken of in Hebrews 11:1
Good insight. I know God's Word says Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image (not our Image or this image but his one and only Image the Lord Jesus Christ) in the image of God created HE(God the Creator= Jesus) him ( man ). Male and female created he them. (There is Adam) how I know?= Genesis 5:1-2 says so. Now was He the first Adam or the second Adam? I go back to Genesis 1:26:- God Said let us make Man in our Image after our likeness etc etc. Firstly. God doesn't have to let himself make anything. Also was man made or created? And we both know God could never have a likeness. That's Lucifer's big biiiiig biiiiiiiiiiiiig rebellion. No created being can be like God. For God is God alone. And he doesn't have an ( our ) image period.jesus is the only image and he is the only one who can create man in HIS own image. So who is Adam. Was he first? Or second. And who is Us? The Trinity many say? How? When does God have to let himself do anything. He lets us choose all sorts of inventions . Maybe he did let us. And that's the problem. He let us. So JESUS has to come and create us in his own Image. The Lord Jesus Christ. Had to come rescue us from us. Adam was the son of God. Unless my interpretation or reading of scripture is mistaken. Luke 3:23-38- was supposedly -the genealogy of Jesus backwards. Verse 38--Which was the Son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God. Maybe JESUS died for Adam and Adam is all of US. And if there were never a falling there would never have been any JESUS to create us in his own Image. God's wisdom is absolutely astonishing to me. If you have any additional words im open. If you can refure any of this I spoke with scripture I more than welcome it. For I desire a prophet to judge what I say. Thank you. Thank you for replying. God bless you
When you said that : ' maybe Adam is all of us ' , you gave a voice to the feeling I always get when reading about the life of Daniel . It might sound a bit silly , I have just responded without giving it deep thought , my feeling when I read the book of Daniel is that I / we / Christians are all Daniel and all the things that happened to him will at some point in our lives happen to us . Obviously I'm not talking about the prophecies at the end of the book , but the incidents in his life , the temptations he resisted etc . I probably should have given more thought to this post before I posted it :) I know what I mean but not sure I'm expressing it well . Next time you read the book of Daniel , please indulge me and put yourself or even the whole of Christianity , in his shoes . It just happens to me every time I read it .
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and Jesus Christ our Lord. I'm Josephus from the other account. I got locked out somehow. But I agree the word of God sometimes doesn't PLAINLY say this or that. Sometimes what it doesn't say is what speaks in the HOLY GHOST. HIDDEN WISDOM which God ordained before the world unto our GLORY. So God put Adam to sleep. It doesn't say he awoke. The word doesn't PLAINLY say God created darkness or the Waters or the deep in scripture either. But they were there. Where did they come from? Adam? You stated God created Adam and Eve the sixth Day. What book are your truths coming from. Adam was male and female. Called Adam. Who created Man. God said " Let us make man in our image after our likeness" who is us? Making man? Some say the Trinity. Us. - well. GOD doesn't have to let himself do anything. He is God. But he let us-whoever us is. For it goes on to say. " So God created Man in his own own own image.(((One image and we both know the only image of God is the lord Jesus Christ. And we both know there is no likeness of God. For God could never have a likeness. For he is not a created anything))) In the image of God created HE. HIM HIM HIM - male and female created HE-- THEM.-- blessed them and called their name Adam in the day they were created. Genesis 5- "" The little book -- of the generations of Adam)) + natural man is asleep for sure. Dead man walking without the HOLY GHOST born again receiving - of the image of God who died to give it. Iye lord Jesus
