    Who are the saints?

In ( 1 Cor. 1:2) Tells us "Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are (sanctified) in Christ Jesus, (called) (to be saints), with all that in every place ((call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord))". The word (sanctified) is #37; it means to make holy, purify or consecrate (mentally) to venerate, hallow, be holy.

Th word (called) is #2822; it means invited, i.e. appointed, or (specifically) a saint, invitation, calling.

The word (saints) is #40; it means sacred, physically pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonial consecrated (most) holy, clean, innocent.

( Acts. 9:11-15) v13 Tells us "Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done ((to thy saints)) at Jerusalem". Who had Saul been doing much evil, persecuting and even having them to be put to death at Jerusalem? TRUE BELIEVERS in Jesus Christ.

v14 Tells us "And here he had authority from the chief priests to bind ((all that call on thy name))". (All who called on the name of Jesus Christ were the saints). That was All True Believers.

( Acts. 26:10) Tells us "Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of ((the saints)) did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them". The ones who Saul was having put to death were the True Believers in Jesus Christ, THE SAINTS.

The word (saints) is in the New Testament 60 times, 13 of those are in the book of Revelation. All 60 have the same meaning in the Greek Language.

No difference in any of them, ALL 60 have THE SAME MEANING in the Greek Language.

Being a True Believer in Jesus Christ is what made one a saint during the time period that Saul was executing them.

    (The first Christians)

Being a True Believer in Jesus Christ is what makes one a saint today, also those saints in the book of Revelation are True Believers in Jesus Christ.

    Blessing to all.

Pierre1939 Context matters! you said "Its the H.G. that is the real Saint".

Was it the Holy Ghost that Saul was persecuting and putting to death in ( Acts. 26:10) ?

Can you provide one verse from the Word of God that clearly tells you that the Holy Ghost is the Saints?

Pierre most of your interpretations are completely out of context.

And as for me throwing away that Concordance, maybe you should use a Concordance, it would help you to keep the pure Words of the LORD in Context!

((Every word)) of God is pure. ( Ps. 12:6-7) ( Prov. 30:5-6)

    ( Gal. 6:1)

Jimbob i will gladly show you a scripture that Proves the Saints are Spirits....Which are the Children of PROMISE THE H.G. Spirits.... Romans 9:8....The Children of the flesh are not the Children of God but the Children of PROMISE are counted for that good seed....The Flesh can only be a joint heir but the real heir is the H.G. THE CHILD OF PROMISE....Not Flesh and blood folks but ..the H.G....As Flesh and blood are not the Children of God thus cannot be ....As its only the H.G. That are the children of PROMISE.....And Sarah shall have a son....Now we are bornagain and have a son which is the H.G. that Child of Promise....and the SAINTS OF GOD ARE SPIRITS....But we are just a joint heir with the H.G. Romans 8:17 kjv....The elect lady which is the Church is the joint heir simply b/c she is the bride....2 John

Jimbob remember Paul was persecuted many times....Did he not have the H.G. the gift of God....Paul was only a Saint b/c Christ lived in him....Not i that lives but Christ that lives in me....Talking bout context you need to realize that no body can be a Saint unless Christ lives in them which is our new innerman....The H.G.....Its only our new innerman that is the Saint that Child of Promise....The H.G.....The only pure word of God is Spirit and life....Not paper and ink where shall we go lord thou has the words of eternal life ..my words are spirit and life....Jim if the written words were the words of life....Then our lord died in vain and the cross was just foolishness....But your concordence will not teach you this....Its that book in the right hand of the father that has the words of life....That book that Jesus wrote with his own blood....That New Covenant....A concordence can not teach us Spiritual things....you need no man teach you the Anointing you have received from him will teach you all things....ABIDE IN HIM....Its only the Anointing that can teach us spiritual things....Which is the H.G....That which is born of the spirit is spirit John 3 :6....Thats the H.G. the Child of Promise....Our new innerman and the only Saint...Which answers to our new heart and new spirit....Which is our holy one the H.G. our new heart and new spirit and answers to our Saint the H.G. Our new spirit.

One is neva out of context when speaking of Christ the living word that new covenant that he gave us at calvary....The book in the fathers right hand.

Pierre1939 Jesus was the Word. ( Jn. 1:1-3,14)

( Jn. 12:48) "((the word)) ((that I have spoken)), ((the same shall judge him)) in the last day".

If those pure, living Words of Jesus Christ were not written down for us in a book then how could God use those Words to judge these people righteously in the last day?

( Rev. 20:11-12) "and the books were opened" (What are these books that are opened that people are judged out of at the last day)?

These books are the Words that Jesus spoke, translated and written down in a book preserved for this generation and for ever. ( Ps. 12:6-7) also ( Prov. 30:5-6)

( 2 Pet. 1:19-21) These verses tell us how holy men of God were moved by the Holy Ghost to bring us the prophecy of the scripture, which is the preserved Word of God.

The 66 books in the KJB is that prophecy, those pure preserved Words of the LORD!

Pierre please don't just read over this, study it.

    Truth matters.

Jimbob Jesus was not the written word, Jesus is the living word....Jesus died to give us a new covenant which are living words Baby Christs....living beings the babes and sucklings he mentions which are an Israel of God....Spirits as that which is born of the spirit is spirit.....Which is the H.G. a living being....A kingdom child....Unless ya receive the Kingdom as a lil CHILD....Jim this N.C. at Calvary has a much deeper meaning then what you are understanding....Remember that great Promise that Christ wd be multiplied as the stars of heaven....When a seed dies it multiplies remember what he told the Greeks that wanted to see him...Unless a seed dies it abides alone....But if it dies there will be much fruit many Christ as the stars of heaven......Jim his death is not about written words....But living words baby Christ....Thats y the woman is giving birth to the Children Rev 12 :5..Which is his multiplication via his seed the living words as my words are spirit and life...Jim the result of the Cross is multiplication and regeneration of Christ....Thats y he is saying blessed are them that follow me in the regeneration....When he sows his precious seed in humanity everybody is gona have a baby...Which is a baby Christ...The son of man mankinds fruit unto God....Jim we had written words in the old covenant....But the letter was a killer....But this N.C. is not about written words...But Living beings ...Gods to whom the word came it made them Gods...That what the babes and sucklings are baby Christ living beings...Remember Isaiah said he wd see his seed...Which is the H.G. his offspring....Thats y Isaiah refers to Jesus as everlasting father...He is gonna father many Children via his precious seed....But his Children are spirits as he said that which is born of the spirit is spirit which is the H.G.....Thats y he has to know us....The H.G. are the Children of Promise....Jim plz note the Kingdom does not come till the woman gives birth....A lil child is gona lead us.

Pierre1939 It would seem that you read over ever post without even trying to see the context.

First, Jesus died on the cross to give salvation and eternal life to all who Believe on Him.

Now ( Jn. 1:1-3,14) v1 Tells us "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS GOD".

v14 Tells us "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us".

The Word was God in flesh! ( Ps. 12:6-7) v6 Tells us "The words of the LORD are pure words". v7 "Thou shalt keep them O LORD, thou shalt (preserve) them from this generation for ever". (God's promise to preserve His Words for ever).

The Word was God in flesh! ( Mt. 4:4) We should live by ((every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God)).

The Word was God in flesh! ( Prov. 30:5-6) v5 ((Every Word)) of God is pure. v6 Add thou not unto ((his words)).

The Word was God in flesh! ( Jn. 14:23-24) v23 If a man love me he will keep ((my words)) v24 "and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me".

The Word was God in flesh! ( 1 Pet. 1:23-25) v23 "by ((the word of God)), ((which liveth)) and ((abideth for ever))". v25 But ((the word of the Lord endureth for ever)), And this is ((the word)) which ((by the gospel)) is preached unto you".

Can you provide the Scripture that shows you that Jesus is not the written Word?

How about this verse? ( 2 Tim. 3:16) "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness". The word (scripture) is #1124; it means a document, to write, to describe.

How would we reproof doctrine without the pure preserved written Word?

How could we correct doctrine without the pure preserved written Word?

Please study this instead of just reading (over it) Pierre. Thank you.

    Blessings.

Hey Jimbob gbu my man....Yes i will gladly show you a scripture that proves that Jesus is not the written word ( the scriptures)... John 5:39....Jesus says search the SCRIPTURES ( the written words ) in them you think that you have Eternal life...But it is only them that testifies of me....Which are the living words....When he the spirit of truth is come he will testify of me John 16:13 John... 15:26...which is the H.G. THE LIVING WORD....That book in the right and of the father....THE BOOK OF LIFE....LIVING WORDS..The CHILDREN OF PROMISE..Jimbob if Eternal life were in the written words the bible....Then Jesus shed his blood in vain and the cross was just foolishness....God has something much greater for his ppl then just a bible...A KINGDOM....Peter said where shall we go lord thou has the words of eternal life....which is that book in the right hand of the father that Jesus wrote with is own blood...But without Calvary the Cross there wd NOT have been a book of life of living words, living seeds to multiply Christ in humanity the seeds of the sower are the result of the book of life....Written words the bible cd not accomplish what Jesus did at Calvary....Hope you see this Jim...My words are spirit and life Jesus....That good seed is the living words of God...The Wheat is a baby Christ a living being....Simply b/c the sower of that good seed is Christ the bridegroom....Thats y he has to know us....Child is th H.G..

Jesus plainly tells us no man can come unto me unless my father that has sent me draw him...which is the living word the H.G....The contents of that book of life in the right hand of the father...The book of life....The woman in Rev. 12:5 does not give birth till the book of life is opened....Unless ya receive the Kingdom of God as a lil Child ( the H.G.) you will in NO WISE enter there in....Her Child is the H.G. the spirit of truth that is gonna reprove this whole world of Sin.Righteousness and Judgement a living being that has to be born in us....
  • Pierre1939 - In Reply - 1 year ago
Jimbob throw that concordence away....Its the H.G. that is the real Saint...We are just a joint heir with the H.G as the gift of God is the H.G. the only real Saint...And elect not man as Paul said in my flesh dwells no good thing....We are not saints but we can be a joint heir with a Saint which is the GIFT OF GOD THE H.G...If we are bornagain ....And this Saint has to be born in us....Thats y Jesus is saying that which is born of the spirit is spirit the H.G....We be just a joint heir if we are the bride....I know that the bible refers to many as Saints but it was b/c they had the gift of the H.G.....The flesh is just a joint heir with Christ the H.G.... Romans 8:17....We are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. ( the gift of the H.G.)....Let the anointing teach you which is the H.G. the gift of God....You need no man teach you the anointing you have received of him the H.G. will teach you all things... 1 john 2:27....And he is our only Saint and gift of God....At the marriage supper of the lamb we will all be made 1 with the H.G....The flesh and the spirit will be made 1...That was his prayer in john 17:21 That we might all be made 1...

    Alex,

You are in error here. The Holy Spirit is divine-deity-possessing all of the essence and attributes of the Father and the Son. He is not nor will He ever be a saint, for a saint is a believer in Christ who has had their sins washed away by the blood of the Son, Jesus being redeemed in and through God.

The Holy Spirit is never in need of because He is God with the Father and the Son, co-equal in deity.

It saddens me that you repeatedly play loosely with the Scriptures and handle the Scripture in a cavalier manner creating doctrines that do not align with what is revealed plainly in Scriptures. I know that you are trying to find "deeper" meaning in Scriptural texts, but you overlook the explicit meaning of most Scripture you cite and substitute your own imaginations for the plain word of God. It is best to state Scripture exactly as it is written and let it speak for itself without adding ideas to the verses cited that come from y9our imagination and not from careful study of the verses in context.

I don't mean to be too critical of you, Alex, but what you are saying in your post is seriously flawed and unsound.

GiGi the H.G. has to be born in us....Thats y Jesus has to know us....The H.G. requires a seed...Even Jesus was God but he had to be born in Mary via a heavenly seed the living word....Gal.4:1...Now i say unto you that the heir ( the H.G.) as long he is a Child differs nothin from a servant....Though HE BE LORD OF ALL...Thats y Jesus is saying that which is born of the spirit is Spirit....Thats the H.G. the Child of Promise... that has to be born in us....Our new heart and new spirit our only Saint and innerman....Thats y Jesus is saying when he the spirit of truth is come he cannot speak of himself...Simply b/c he is just an infant and infants cannot speak for while....Whosoever receiveth one such Child in my name receiveth me...simply b/c he is that new born babe desiring the sincere milk of the word....Thats y he always refers to himself as the Son of man simply b/c mankind needs to birth a new innerman a new heart and new spirit...And the H.G. is the Kingdom unless you receive the Kingdom of God as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in.

..... Romans 9:8 Not all Israel is Israel that is the Children of the flesh are not the Children of God....Its only the Children of PROMISE that are counted for that good seed....Flesh and blood are not the Children of God....Thus Flesh and Blood can NOT be the SAINTS OR THE ELECT.....Its only the H.G. that are the Children of Promise....And the Israel of God....Behold i send the Promise of my Father upon you...Which was baptism of the H.G. THE ONLY Child of Promise....Thus the SAINTS are not flesh and blood but Spirits.

Alex, thanks for your explanation. However I respectfully disagree strongly with your point and the especially the way you interpret Scripture (which nearly always tends toward misinterpretation and misapplication and twisting of the Scripture text.) And yet, after all that you posted, your reasoning does not prove your point from a Scriptural standpoint.

    Best wishes to you today.
