The sons of God, was and are, (since the beginning of time) believers. From the first mention in Genesis 6 to now the sons of God means believers on Earth. Even in Job, the sons of God does not mean angels. See Satan was already cast out of Heaven, so there was no way he could go there to appear before God. So in Job, it was believers that had come together to worship and present themselves before God. Satan came among them and saw Job and spoke to God about Job, a son of God. Then first mention in the New Testament with John 1:12 is talking about believers. It doesn't change at all in the Bible as far as my study has gone on this. My Bible college would back me up on this belief as well.
Do you think it's possible , that in Job , when the sons of God went to the temple to worship God , as they are believers in God , could it be that satan entered one of them ( in the same way he did with Judas and even briefly Peter ) who then pronounced curses on Job because he was jealous of Job ? Jealous of him because he was devout and well blessed by God ? Envy is a terrible sin and it could be that a person , who was envious of Job to such an extent , that it gave occasion for that person to curse Job and all that he had ? God then took away all the things from Job that that person envied about him , his family his wealth and finally his good health but , no amount of suffering and despair on Job's part could cause Job to curse God and sin . So in effect Job proved to that person , who ever it was , that nothing mattered to Job more than his faith in God did , his faith in God which could not be shaken no matter how dire his circumstances . Job lost everything that we humans value highly but nothing could make him loose his faith in God . Whoever Job's ' adversary ' was , he didn't get the better of Job . I hope I have explained my thoughts clearly there .

About Peter is different, first he was not a devil, but a true disciple of the LORD. What really happen? JESUS had just said to the disciples and reveals how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. The sound that comes out of Pedro's mouth contradict LITERALLY what JESUS had just said: Matthew 16:22 - Then Peter took JESUS, and began to REBUKE Him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. In that moment Peter spoke by the spirit of a mere or common man made of the dust, as it happened in Genesis 3:1, the spirit of Christ was replaced by the spirit of man born of Devil, bnorn of sin. It's terrible. The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of GOD, it's is danger, very danger, to speak of the Word of GOD-the Word is GOD - by the spirit of man, and not by the Holy Spirit. It is very danger to peach the Word of GOD by the letter, the Holy Spirit doesn't do this because the letter kills, kills the souls.
Hi Ideas , thank you for your reply to me . I don't know if you have a concordance or not but they are very helpful . When the word devil is used in the new testament , it could be one of two Greek words . One of those words : daimonion does refer to some sort of demonic being . The other word is diabolos , this word refers to a slanderer or false accuser . When Jesus refers to Judas as a devil it is the word diabolos . Concordances are a great help I think and always worth having .
In my opinion that event is simpler than you described it. Simply Peter thought as a normal person when he rebuked his Lord. He spoke out of his feelings for Jesus.. Anybody would have done the same. So why did Jesus call him devil? Because he wanted to show to Peter (and to us) that anything, even if it comes out of our good intentions, must be removed if it is an obstacle to God's plan. And usually it is satan who does that and any person that does it as well, even if is out of their ignorance, is a devil, which means they are an obstacle to God.
Was Peter really a devil? No because in the previous verse Jesus called Peter a Rock on which He would build His church. Contradiction? No, simply we have to take that "devil" figuratively. There are no spirits or anything like that involved. Judas was a different case.
Besides if satan was aware of God's plan for the salvation of mankind, simply he would never drive Jesus on the cross, using Judas.
Allow me to add a few more elements for analysis. JESUS was talking about the fulfillment of the Scriptures about Himself -JESUS is GOD-, when Peter rebuked Him, so He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of GOD, but merely HUMAN concerns." Matthew 16:23NIV
When Peter rebuked JESUS, an unexpected spiritual environment emerged out of the darkness and the Enemy spirit took a clincher/hook in the literal sense, and articulated the pseudo human goodness in Peter's mouth to put a stumble in the way of JESUS, as happened in temptation.
The lesson I draw for myself from the spiritual environment that emerged out in that moment involving Peter in his weakness before the Master, it is that as a human we must have much care to fall not in the same error of Peter Apostle, using our human conceptions and going against the Scriptures, even if our words seems be good and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom.
We need a lot of discernment, no? Ephesians 4:26-27KJV - Sin not ...:
Neither give place to the Devil.
Furthermore, Ephesians 6:10 to 18 in very important for us the lasts, mainly now at midnight, a hour of great danger, according the Word of GOD, and more a TURN of a Day in our GOD's watch as in Genesis 3:8-11 and NOW in Revelation 16:13-15.
I don't think so, there's no reason to look into it if the Bible doesn't say it. The Bible clearly says Satan entered Judas, but never says anything about him entering any of the sons of God. I also believe that the sons of God were saved, but I'm unsure if they could be possessed because of the Holy Spirit not being in people in the OT. From what I understand though is that you have to in some way invite a demon in through your way of living or actually saying it. At least what I've read from spiritual warfare books and learned at college. The Sons of God coming to worship would not have let a demon into them.
