Wow, 9 yrs & no responce, thats kinda rude yet most ppl, all teachers of sort, won't touch this Qs I've found because they themself misconsrude it not knowing what they think they do or if their being honest, would have to admit their guilt if think its a bad thing compared to their sin. My opinion.! How I always understood it to be, its ok in moderation as long as it does not cause another to stumble. Yet if we are saved, we are filled w/the Holy Spirit & will not be in need of it other than to relieve a stomach ailment. Like Timothy. Plus, Jesus turned water into wine, yes, yet it was to celebrate a wedding & again as long as it doesn't distort your way of thinking or cause you (or anyone else) to sin, I truly believe it is okay. Which also brings us to the verse when Jesus says 'remove the plank in yur own eye before attempting to pluck the thorn from anothers eye'. Most ppl distort biblical teaching to satisfy their own earthly flesh or do not know what it truly means because they do not take time to study daily as God demands. For in doing so, they would know the original meanings & stop twisting things such as this. Hebrew, Greek, Latin & Aramaic are the 4 original, major languages (I think) & if we study intently (Not merely listen to others) we will learn HIS truth. He is our only condemner.! God bless 'Texsis'.
