(Verse 4) "But then God our Savior showed us his kindness and love." This means that Jesus will save no one who will not recognize him as God. This is the most basic information taught in the Bible. Isaiah 43:25 says, "I-yes, I alone-am the one who blots out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again." This is unmistakenly talking about Jesus.

But how can this be true? What we are talking about here is God's self identity or personality. Have you ever heard the phrase, "God in 3 persons," or personalities? What this means is, the personality through whom God speaks to us is Jesus. Let me say it this way. When God speaks to us he says "I am Jesus."

Remember what happened to Paul on the Damascus road? When Paul met God, he said to him, "Who are you Lord (God)?" And God said, "I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting." Later God said to Ananias, "Go over to Straight Street, to the house of Judas. When you arrive, ask for Saul of Tarsus. He is praying to me right now."

No good Jewish person would dare pray to anyone else but God!
