Who was first king of Israel?
  • Jcubria - In Reply - 1 year ago
The first king of Israel, according to the Hebrew Bible, was Saul. He is traditionally depicted as having ruled in the 11th century BC, around 1020 BC. Saul was anointed as king by the prophet Samuel, and his reign marked the transition from a loose confederation of tribes to a centralized monarchy in ancient Israel. His story is primarily found in the biblical books of 1 Samuel and 2 Samuel.

    Thankful7741:

Jesus Christ was the first king of Israel; but they rejected him, as has most of his creation to this day.

1 Samuel 8:6 But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a KING ......

1 Samuel 8:7 ....for they have not rejected thee, but they have REJECTED ME to reign over them .....

    God bless you!
