"For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God."(3:3)
Our lives were hidden before the worlds were framed in the divine Will. We did not appear by our own but 'of the will of the flesh,' Flesh and blood shall not inherit the worlds which were framed by the word of God which is a Spirit. So Jesus coming from his Father and who is the heir of all made his Will manifest. Accordingly we are to be born again. "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God./That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit./Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." ( John 1:13; 3:5-7; He.11:3)
Baptism by water is death, in that symbolically you die to the world of sin and to the hold of flesh and blood. Appetites of carnality when pursued leads to death and condemnation. By the same token when we received Jesus Christ we received all the blessing of God in his Son. Thus the baptism of the Spirit is to work at tandem with death of the Son who died once for all mankind. He dies no more. So we are living in him,-in spiritual terms hidden and in heavenly places. Crypto genesis explains it. This is what the key verse instructs us. Recently we came across a clear example of cryptobiosis or hidden lives.
