    Overshadow

The Greek word Episkiaz basically refers to a cloud casting a shadow over a surface. The Holy Ghost presents God in terms of the clouds. They are His chariot, which explains His Omnipresence. His omnipotence assures the word going forth from His mouth shall never return to him in void. (Is.55:11; Ps.104:3). Glory of the light of knowledge in the face of Jesus Christ to which St Paul alludes in this verse was heard when Jesus stepped out of the River Jordan.(Matt.3:17). It was there on the mount of transfiguration. "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."(2 Co.4:6) underpins the role of the indwelling Spirit. The Spirit serves the light from the Father of light from the creation accounts to instruct us from the glorious gospel of the Son. It is Person specific as the Spirit of Christ is a characteristic of God, a Spirit.

" Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them./ There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one."(Ac.5:15-16) In these healing it was not Peter who healed but the glory of God overshadowing them.
