I've had cataract surgery and now have glass lenses installed and can now see distance clearly. but close up must wear glasses to see! My understanding at this age-62 is...if God's doesn't do it, good doesn't get done! No matter how or in what manner God chooses to do it! God bless n Shalom.

Hi Raincloud, how are your eyes? I also had cataract surgery a few years ago and everything went well. I still have to have reading glasses but I'm not complaining! lol God bless you

Hello there. Good to hear from you. God bless you with lots of fruit in the harvest! Shalom.

    Dear Raincloud,

I am glad that your cataract surgery was successful. Even though your sight is not totally restored, you can see distance now without glasses. But most people our age do need glasses for near vision. I need cataract surgery on both eyes. I will most likely schedule these surgeries this year. I have worn glasses since the fourth grade, so to be able to see distances without glasses will be amazing for me.

I pray that your eyesight will stabilize and that you get used to the vision adjustments you need to make at this time in your life.

Hi Gigi, have you scheduled your surgery? I also had the surgery and I see very well. I still have to have reading glasses. No prob. Let me know when you will have your surgery and I'll pray for you. Is it ok if you post it on prayer request? But don't post it at all if you don't want to. I'll still pray for you. From your sister in Christ. God bless you

Well hello there. Thanks for your surprising email! I also had both eyes done about 3 weeks between the 2 of them! I heard before hand from others, the guy doing the surgery was very good! But I did pray and ask God to be there also for the first one!I didn't fully realize how bad my eyes had become because I could see very well which was about half normal. But when I got home and looked at the tv,it was like a brand new tv being very clear and much full of vibrant color instead of being paler! Each surgery took about 20 minutes,as soon as he put the new lense in place I could see the hanging surgery lamp very clearly, when before looking up from the table it was a dim grey lightish blob!I had it done by scalpel as I had heard not good things about laser surgery! I started with glasses since 14! Thanks for your prayers! It's very worth it,you'll be totally amazed by God's fingerprints on nature views. That's the first thing I started watching was nature shows. God bless you with lots of fruit in the harvest! Shalom.

Thanks, Raincloud, for the encouraging post about how well you see now after cataract surgery. I will be seeing the eye doctor soon and will then determine when to schedule surgeries. He recommends the lens replacement surgery that you had over laser surgery also.
