    Ze.14 (3 of 3)

At the end of creation the Spirit was particular to sum up the account thus:"These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that theLordGod made the earth and the heavens," (Ge.2:4) Day of creation shall cover a period of time as the Day of regeneration, in which the Millennial reign shall have its own context and hold relationship with what goes on in new heaven and new earth. The key is in the Son who is Alpha Omega, the beginning and the ending. As faithful witness the Son has a relationship which is testified by the everlasting covenant. So everlasting gospel on the earth and in heaven pertains to him.

2For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Prophecy of Zechariah specifically refers to the destruction of the city of Jerusalem in AD70 and' the residue shall not be cut off from the city" refers to the end times, when a remnant shall be added to the body of Christ.

3Then shall theLordgo forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

As with the note v.2 the Lord shall fight with the beast and the false prophet representing the apostate church of which we read in this passage, he has had already an army reserve in heaven. Re.19:11-15. These saints have their battle dress. "And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints." (Re.19:8)
