"If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.(v.7)
The Lord fashioned all hearts alike so how come Cain responded to please God was different from that of Abel? Sin made all the difference. Sin created a smokescreen so man is easier handled by the conjuror's art, smoke and mirrors which man looks at believes in a lie of course.
God from whom comes all the good gifts now onwards becomes a 'bogy' to Adam and man and woman would rather hide as made His presence 'in the cool of day'. So their fall signified there were barriers put up between them and their God. This reality was reflected in their hearts as well.
Cain presented fruit of the field, which tells us the world of the flesh weighed uppermost in his calculation. Abel on the other hand laid much in store with the world of the Spirit. All that was knowable of God was in the heart of Cain and Abel alike. God tests their works as the Psalm quote tells us.(Ps.33:15)
God's calling and gifts are irrevocable. Their hearts presented a level playing field a face as the Spirit of God moving upon the face of the waters, which is between heaven and the earth.God forbade them access to this kingdom without getting rid of sin that put up barriers between the two. It is to which God referred." If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted?" Peace with God was impossible with this crouching sin at the door. Cain had certainly a problem. It was obvious that he viewed the worlds that his heart circumscribed differently than his brother who was righteous as the Spirit annotates. Cain viewed according to the carnal wisdom taught by Satan.. St John writes of Cain,' who was of that wicked one,'( 1 John 3:12, 8) and contrasts his brother as righteous.
Luke 10:38-42 Mary chose the better part. Abel did better because he trusted in the promises of God.
Cain was of that wicked one, Cain was the son of the serpent which was Satan.
( Gen 3:3) .."neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die" The word (touch) is #5060; it means to lie with a woman.
( Gen 3:13) "And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent (beguiled) me; and I did eat". The word (beguiled) is #5377; it means morally to seduce.
( Gen 3:14-15) v15 "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and (between) ((thy seed)) and ((her seed))"...
The word (seed) is #2233; it means carnally, child, to disseminate, bear, conceive seed.
God said He would put enmity between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman.
( Gen 3:16) "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiple thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children"...
Why else would God multiple her sorrow and conception?
Multiplied conception means the woman had twins, Cain was the son of the serpent, and Abel the son of Adam.
Thats why John said in ( 1 Jn 3:12) "Not as Cain, who was ((of that wicked one)) and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous". Cain was of the seed of that wicked one!
( Jn 8:43-44) v44 "Ye are ((of your father the devil)), and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it".
Many don't want to see, or believe this is true, but the Word of God will speak for itself if we get our own interpretation, or the things we have been taught by other men out of the way. Truth matters.
"Why else would God multiple her sorrow and conception?/Multiplied conception means the woman had twins, Cain was the son of the serpent, and Abel the son of Adam." You write.
Read the verses. "And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord./And she again bare his brother Abel." (4:-1-2) 'Again' does not mean twins. Private interpretation is from carnal wisdom.("For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost"-2 Pe.1:20-21) God shall not against his principle.
Read Ge.1:12 'Whose seed is in itself' Also what Jesus spoke on the subject. A good tree cannot produce both as you seem to subject. Does a fountain produce bitter and sweet water simultaneously?
I refuse to be drawn in any argument, and with friendly greetings,
How do you explain the enmity between the (seed of the serpent) and the (seed of the woman) in ( Gen 3:15)? seed meaning child, bear, conceive seed.
The word (again) is #3254; it means to add or augment, ((to continue to do a thing)), come more + conceive. Augment means to make (something already developed or well under way) greater. Therefore God greatly multiplied her conception as in ( Gen 3:16) God said "in sorrow shalt thou bring forth children" Whatever she did with the serpent was why God put enmity between the serpent seed and the womans seed. and why God greatly multiplied her sorrow and her conception.
God allowed her to have twins which greatly multiplied her conception.
To continue to do a thing means give birth and continue to give birth again. Cain and Abel were twins.
I refuse to argue with anyone Benny. Its sad that somebody on this site can say really bad things about another and accuse them of being argumentive and some will just run with that whether its truth or not. Friendly discussions, or even friendly debates is a great way to learn from each other and grow as the Body of Christ. We must humbly seek the Truth and not think we already know it all, we do not!
