Its spiritual significance points to the latter days when the seat of Satan is very much in the church ('even where Satan's seat is'-Re.2:13) that dictates the doctrine of the beast as politically correct."And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast(Re.13:11-12)", On secondary sense Gideon had seventy sons from so many wives, whose lives were at stake on account of Gideon setting up an ephod which was unlike the altar set up under the direction of God, "And build an altar unto theLordthy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place(6:26a)"
