"As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples",
Triumphal entry of Jesus is triumph of the word sent forth('out of my mouth') as Isaiah foretold,"but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."(Is.55:11).
Jesus in sending his disciples two by two at the beginning of his ministry as at the end he did as the word become flesh. Gospel of God he delivered by principle of Association and in his words,"He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me."(Matt.10:40) He who received the disciples to all intent and purpose received him who sent them. Then as now. The word sent forth by God thus connected Isaiah who spoke accordingly and it connects Prophet Zachariah who spoke of his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass." Ze. 9:9 Whatever spoken according to the scriptures shall be fulfilled and it what the above mentioned quote from Isaiah signifes. So the ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass' are there when he require them. Faith of Jesus is demonstrated here. His disciples did as they were told so by principle of Association they wer associates which is established by the eternal word forever settled in heaven. "All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,"(21:4-6)
" And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way." What was the significance of the palm branches?
