Re.13:1 "The name of blasphemy" (1 of 2)

The beast, "Having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy."

God made man a living soul meaning that the truth was set in his inwards. Like the penny in the Parable of the Laborers in the Vineyard he was set to work as a faithful laborer in the world. Holding truth in unrighteousness his fall created sin enter into the world. These four beasts that Daniel saw in a night vision is a birds eye of human civilization on the rise. The three ribs signified human institutions State and Religion growing from strength to strength which however dispensed with truth and necessity of obeying the will of God. The nations whose authority came from the dragon had a mix and match form of lion, leopard, bear as indicated in the v.1. The Spirit explains it 'the beast that thou sawest was, and is not, and yet is" the unclean spirit working through passage of time so kings, minister-presidents, caesars or sultans are all manifestation of the same, they hold truth in unrighteousness,

The little horn showed how state and religion could coexist and the beast now wearing a scarlet livery as mentioned in Ch.17:3 suggests papacy. Fall of Constantinople to the Turks gives us this line, "And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed." Consider the following verses, "A scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns." The Spirit also supplies their significance, "The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth." (17:9) Obvious seven hills of Rome.

Apart from this we are also shown where the beast comes from; This is a key that should unlock the mystery of the beast in both cases.

Thank you Bennymkje, It is true that Jesus in his resurrection in a believers regenerated life has given the believer power over Satan if they continue to hear the Shepherd's voice. However Satan was only wounded and his voice is also present if one chooses to listen. Satan is an ally to the flesh and we cannot loosen his chains by unbelief. The parable of the thief overcoming the strongman is Jesus speaking of Himself (this you likely have heard before).

    Carleton,

Satan shall try every means to prevent the Salvation Plan of God from reaching its goal. One third of the stars he shall cause to slip from their positions. ("And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth:"-Re.12:4), But the word of God is clear, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."(1 John4:4). So the only thing expected of us is to to be steadfast, quit ourselves like men. Let faith have is full scope and the grace of God shall do the rest.

Good evening Bennymkje, Thank you. Mostly I agree with what you wrote in both posts. It is very true that abiding in God's love, it is impossible to sin as we believe Jesus Christ is the Lord's anointed. We are to love the brethren and to live a life in the Spirit, in truth. Satan is a liar from the beginning and his lies continue though he is now bound in the same world that Jesus came in the flesh to. Satan's main voice would try to replicate the truth as he did in the garden. He made himself equal to God when the children of God only abide in God. The difference is eternal life or eternal death. This is a very important part of the Gospel. The last chapter of 1 John 5:18 "And we know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not." Verse 21 reminds us (as children) to keep ourselves from idols. Again, like a thief, the Bible says a man, must first bind the strong man before spoiling his house. The strong man is the world in our heart and Satan is that strong man, but by the Love of God, Jesus was sent to bind that strong man so that we can live in God as Satan's house is spoiled. I wrote in the beginning that the wound unto death to Satan might have healed overtime by some that have left off the love for the brethren by loving the world. Babylon is another word for the world by my understanding.

    Carleton,

Re.your last line,"Babylon is another word for the world by my understanding."

You are correct. The Spirit tells of the fulness of Christ. "For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell."(Col.1:19) God forbade Israel to sell the land for the reason the earth abides forever and it is given to his Son who is the judge. In the Revelation we have names which are judged already for instance Sodom and Egypt. Jerusalem similarly shall be judged for having rejected his Son. When the Spirit narrates the martyrdom of the two witnesses whave the line as given below.

In Re.11:8 The Spirit gives us the hint how we should look at the name of places persons and events, " And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified." In Re.18 we have the fate of Babylon.(18:21)

"And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit." Similarly Jesus is qualified as the last Adam (1 Co.15:45) God 'tempt's Abraham to sacrifice Isaac is set down in order to inform us of our Father in heaven sending his Son to be a sacrifice for us. It is thus every name stands either on the side of the Son or as enemy. The Law of Gradation has thus lists of martyrs ("That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias,"-Matt.23:35) indicating his own death approaching. This is in condemnation of the nation that did resist the will of God.

Good morning Bennymkje, I am thinking as well Jesus came as rhe second Adam to this world as a Promise sent from the beginning. Similar to Daniel he was subject to the kings of the earth, surrounded by hostilities while containing a pure knowledge of the Will of the Father and preserving the True Temple for worship of the Father, this Temple not made with hands. Babylon suurounds God's children because they like Jesus have no room at the inn, no resting place except in God in Jesus Christ. The Assyrians, Egyptians, Babylinians, Persians, Greeks and Romans have at times surrounded the people of God. Every child of God born into His Spirit while in the world will face hostilities. Only our Hope, Jesus Christ was resurrected into eternal Life into a Heavenly Kingdom by His death on the Cross while in earth, while in the world, while in Babylon. This Kingdom that He introduced by His Blood and water is incompatible with the kingdoms of the earth. Where contact is made (even one saved soul) there will be thunderings and lightenings and earthquakes. Some day, Babylon and all that belongs to her including the beast that was among the eight will be consumed by fire after the appearing of the Lamb once delivered. My morning thoughts by the view from the window towards the Cross.

The Same GIGI! I hope the day your way is beautiful, we need rain and maybe we will get some soon, Currently trimming Ivy back.

    Carleton,

Well it is rainy here. That is par for the season here in the North-west. There were still some things I wanted to do in the yard this fall, but may be running out of good weather to work in outside. Hopefully we will have some dry days for those things to get done. I kind of feel like hibernating these last few weeks with the weather change, but I just pray that I will get my "pep" back soon.

My son and daughter-in-law just told us they are expecting first baby in May. That is such good news! My first grandchild. So, as my daughter in law said, I'm officially a GiGi. They are not financially ready to take on all things about parenting. So, they will be living with us for awhile. That is fine for us. If they still need to stay here after the baby arrives that is fine, too. As childcare is sooooo expensive nowadays, hubby and I will be caring for baby while they work. Praying for my other son and daughter in law to soon be expecting, too. They are near 40 and so, I hope it happens soon.

Good morning. That's beautiful GIGI! Grandparents! I imagine there is lots to do in making way for more in the home. Many blessings come from small beginnings! It is hard to stay on too of yards that do not have hard frost, everything keeps on growing. Out of 14 hears on this property we have only had two cold winters. Cold usually means dry and we need the rain, so we pray for more yard work I guess. We hope to have a few guest after church this morning to fill the home a little bit more. I hope you all have a wonderful day in Christ Jesus.

    Bennymkje The beast-2(1 of 2)

    You quoted Rev.13:1-2:

I see that John, the Apostle,as a Jewish citzen, one among the"sand' of the sea-i.e.descendants of Abraham, saw a Beast rise up out of the sea(rose up out of the Gentile peoples/nations- Revelation 17:15),having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. What's name? Revelation 13:18 says:Here is wisdom.Let him that has understanding COUNT the number of the Beast:for it is the number of a MAN;and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

/And the Beast which I saw was like unto a LEOPARD,and his feet were as the feet of a BEAR,and his mouth as the mouth of a LION:and the dragon( Revelation 13:11)gave him his Power, and his Seat(in Jerusalem),and great Authority.(In this verse 2 is revealed the ROOTS/THE ORIGIN of the Beast of sea for those who looking back in time, even from when John saw the Apocalypse and we also see from these current days, but Daniel in His vision of the future Beast of sea he wrote that he saw 4 great Beasts that came up from the SEA(from Gentile nations),diverse one from another,as follow:

The 1st was like a LION,

and the 2nd Beast like to a BEAR,

    after this I beheld the 3rd like a LEOPARD;(John and we,looking back,we see 1st leopard,2nd bear, and 3rd lion-Rev.13:2)

and behold a 4th Beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly;and it had great IRON teeth:it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it:and it was DIVERSE from all the(3)Beasts that were before it;and it had 10 horns(that is the Beast of sea- Revelation 13:1-whose embryo was formed in the Roman Empire-in the 4th Beast)

I considered the(10)horns(linked to the Beast of sea)and behold, there came up among them(among 10 horns-10 tribes)another little horn(the illeventh horn will rise up from the earth-from the little Israel-a Beast like a lamb,a false lamb- Revelation 13:11 combined with John 5:43-47)

The vision of Daniel fulfilled LITERALLY

  • Bennymkje - In Reply - 1 year ago
    Oseas,

I do not digest the last line. Was the vision of Daniel fulfilled literally? "As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time."(Dan.7:12) The state and church alliance has moved further and what we read of the miracles in Re.13:13-14 belong to the latter days. The man clothed in linentells, "And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end."(12:9)

In 12:15-17 we have a glimpse of the AI and killer robots. "And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed." Tagging pets with laser codes and Id of citizens electronically is suggested. "And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."(13:17) This mark is Satan's way of counting heads as God has his name in the foreheads of his servants. ("an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads."Re.14:1) This need not be in literal sense but those who work actively to further the cause of the beast is one bidden to his servitude.

    Bennymkje"

You asked me: Was the vision of Daniel fulfilled literally?

Many of Daniel's prophecies were literally fulfilled until this current time, of course, i.e. by a period around 2550 years. All that remains is to fulfill the last events, of which JESUS highlighted Daniel 12 in Matthew 24:15, understand?

And around 65 years after His ascention, JESUS broke the 7 seals of the secret book of Apocalypse, and in chapter 13 described the fulfillment of Daniel's prophecies exactly for this current time about two MAN Beasts, i.e. the MAN Beast of the sea-Re.13:1-10 and the MAN Beast of the earth having two horns like a LAMB, a FALSE LAMB, course, a false messiah, and he speaks as a dragon-Re.13:11-18,

and behold, it is already running to LITERALLY be fulfilled as a whole from now on, for sure, what Daniel prophesied millennia ago.

By the way, JESUS revealed-Re.16:13-15-and according verse 13 John "saw three unclean spirits like frogs(why frogs?)come out of the MOUTH of the dragon(Re.12:3-4&13:11),

and out of the MOUTH of the Beast(the Beast of sea),

and out of the MOUTH of the false prophet(who will manifest himself as messiah very soon), even in days to come in fulfillment of what JESUS prophesied- John 5:43-47. Get ready.

Verse 14 - For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of this great Day of GOD Almighty(the Lord's Day).

Verse 15 - JESUS warned: Behold, I come as a thief...

    Therefore, get ready
  • Bennymkje - In Reply - 1 year ago
I beg to differ from your view on the seven seals. you said, "And around 65 years after His ascention, JESUS broke the 7 seals of the secret book of Apocalypse" The Spirit has set the night vision of Daniel. The Ancient of days granted everlasting dominion to the the Son of man (Jesus Christ). Night vision is a clue to signal the reader that we are looking at the divine Will whereas what St John is lookig at the Son as he is set to fulfill the will of his Father. "The judgment was set, and the books were opened." also indicates the Son to whom God has appointed as the Judge. Angelic revolt till the last insurrection shall be covered. ("Know ye not that we shall judge angels? "-1 Co.6:3)It is a promise of Jesus to his disciples.

In the Revelation, it is not a secret book as you say, Only those who want to put to read with a literary inquisitive mind would want to put names to the beast. From Nero to ISIL were suggested. From the Garden of Eden to the holy City of God the Spirit is consistent. So let us stick to the facts. In the Book of Daniel we have the will of the Father expressed. The revelation begins with the risen Christ superimposed over the Ancient of days, ("His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow;" 1:14) and the seven candlesticks in the middle." The body of Christ the church from Ge.2 (creation of Eve) forms part of the narrative till the end.

St John is looking at the same vision of Daniel but from the POV of Christ Jesus as the fulfillment aspect of the Father. Thus the slain Lamb in Ch.7 is introduced to lead the church where the throne of God is also a composite, Throne of God and of the Lamb.(Re.22:1) Read the Bible in the manner the Spirit exhorts you to read. You shall know the truth and escape the traps set for literary minds. They are still around the fleshpots of Egypt and harping on Jerusalem! Let them. We are called to be overcomers. Hallelujah!

    bennymkje,

You said me:"I beg to differ from your view on the seven seals. You said,"And around 65 years after His ascention,JESUS broke the 7 seals of the secret book of Apocalypse".

First, you must know that GOD the Father gave to JESUS the book of Revelation-Re.1:1-decades after His ascension, it was around 95AD, the New Covenant already was established, and already there were 7 Churches in Asia.

Re.5:3 reveals:'no MAN in HEAVEN(i.e. in 3rd heaven, the next to be established, and it has nothing to do with sky), nor in EARTH,neither under the earth, was ABLE to open the(sealed)book, neither to look thereon.

You wrote, saying:""In the Revelation,it is not a secret book as you say.""

John said-Re.5:1-And I saw in the right hand of Him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside(Ez.2:9-10,take a look),sealed with seven seals. Well, the book was with the Father-the book of Revelation, and He had kept the CONTENTS of the book still secret and closed with 7 seals until He handed the Book to His Only Begotten Son-my Lord JESUS Christ,to untie or break the 7 seals and showing to His servants the things which were written therein-Re.1:1-EXCEPT those things the seven thunders uttered, and John write them not(Re.10:4).

It is evident that having JESUS broken the seven seals(Re.6 & 8:1),the CONTENT of the Book was revealed, then after this WONDERFUL event still in the first century(AD),there was no longer any secret or CONTENT sealed within it, being the last book of the Holy Scriptures, the Word of GOD.

Unfortunately, you made an extensive you made an extensive and foolish comment(are you using AI to interpret Scriptues?), what matters and prevails is the Word of GOD, not your verbiage, beyond the detail regarding to the sealed book of GOD whose CONTENT was with GOD the Father still secret/sealed, it until He has DELIVERED it to JESUS to show its CONTENT unto His servants, and that JESUS provided calling His angel to do it, in fact, an archangel-Re.22:8-10.

Hello Bennymkje, For consideration. I believe Jesus wounded Satan unto death for a time, that men might believe and escape their own condemnation. As unbelief overcomes the world, that wound has healed and Satan's voice becomes more present in the remaining days.
  • Bennymkje - In Reply - 1 year ago
    Hi Carleton,

Interesting idea but in all my reading of the word I have not come across anything like it. Since I believe the word of God is inerrant I hold to the view that the ministry of Jesus cannot be a slipshod job. When he overcame death on the cross his resurrection is a signal to the believers that Satan has no hold over you. Re.22 has this verse, "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still." He who preserves to the end shall be the overcomer."
