Please pray for my son Sy Johnson, who has been out of work for a year or more. He has been looking for work but has not found a job yet. Please pray that my son would have a relationship with Christ that he also might get to know him. He has not been sleeping due to having anxiety about life and also he has started to drink. Please pray that God will turn his life around for the better. After graduating from high school he ha been going in the wrong direction. I know prayer can help him find his way.

Hello Kosh74 and God's blessings on you today.

I can understand what is happening to your son. I have three sons who were brought up in the faith and have gone the prodigal route. Two of them deal with anxiety/depression disorder that affects their life in so many detrimental ways.

I will certainly pray for your son, Sy.

Dear Heavenly Father, today we come before with humble hearts with concerns for our children who have turned from you despite being brought up to know You. As You know them through ad through, only You can truly help them to come back to You in faith. We lift up Sy, and Brian, and Rob, and Kevin before You in the name of Jesus, who alone can save anyone. Cause their hearts to be changed and regenerated by the working of Your Holy Spirit. We ask that Your Spirit create in these sons faith to believe the gospel once again and to run back to Jesus for salvation. Oh, Father, How often have we prayed for our children. Please save them soon. We continue to trust You to do this in them. We also ask that You will cause depression and anxiety to be taken from Sy, Rob and Kevin. Heal their brains from what causes this and their spirits from the work of the evil one who takes advantage of this weakness in them. We ask that You will deliver them fully from this mental ailment and give them soundness of mind, peace in their hearts, and rest for their souls in our Lord and Savior, Jesus, Your Son. We love our children so much, but we are not able to help them in the way they truly need to become whole and well. Only You can do all that we ask and hope for them. We entrust them into Your hands once again today, knowing that You hear our pleas and care for them more than we ever can. You have the sovereignty to do all things that are good and true according to Your perfect will. And we know that You desire for all persons You have created to come to salvation in Your Son. Please, act quickly in our sons' lives and turn these prodigals back to You soon. Amen

Thank you for the kind and heartfelt messages and prayer. We are undoubtedly living in a time where prayer carries immense significance. I will keep your Rob, Brain and Kevin in my thoughts and prayers, and I stand alongside you in beseeching God to grant strength to parents and grandparents as they continue to pray for their children and grandchildren, especially amidst the challenges faced by this evil and wicked generation. I firmly believe in the profound power of prayer and its capacity to bring about transformative change. As a child, my mother instilled in me the unwavering belief that nothing is insurmountable for God, and that prayer holds the ability to usher in positive transformations. Although my mother has passed away, her words live on in my heart, resonating deeply. May we all find solace and hope through prayer as children of God we continue to keep each other in prayer. Bless !

    Kosh74:

What is SIN in God's eyes, NOT man's eyes?

Why do so FEW enter the Kingdom of God?

    Does SIN keep them out?

    ONLY eight in Noah's time.

    ONLY two in Joshua's time.

Matthew 7:14 ... FEW there be that find it ..... in our time.....

Hosea 4:14 I WILL NOT PUNISH your daughters when they commit WHOREDOM, nor you spouses when the commit ADULTERY: for themselves are SEPARATED with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots, therefore the people that doeth not understand SHALL FALL.

Proverbs 16:6 .... by TRUTH and MERCY iniquity (sin) is purged ....

What is this SIN (in God's eyes) that can be purged by TRUTH and MERCY ......that keeps the many from the Kingdom of God?

    God BLESS YOU!

    Hi Kosh74,

You are right in that prayer can help.

intercessory prayer that leads to one's salvation is needed if one is not saved.

That is why we asks is one a child of God or not.

It's God's way that he must find and that is only done by the Holyspirit.

Man's ways is not like God's ways and Man's will for his life is not the Lord's will for him.

We were born with a rebellious nature, and there must be a rebirth taken place to combat this old nature of ours, ESPECIALLY THIS GENERATION.

This reminds of Judges 21:25. "In those days there was no king in Israel: EVERY MAN DID THAT WHICH WAS RIGHT IN HIS OWN EYES!.

Kosh74, We will be glad to pray for your son.

    God bless you.

    Brother S Sencer:

The gospel was preached to National Israel as well to PROMISED ISRAEL, today.

Judges 21:25 In those days (God sees not time), there was NO KING in Israel, every man did what was right in his own eyes.

Maybe we have the same problem TODAY.

    God BLESS YOU, brother.

    Kosh74,

I will pray for your son. Is he saved?
  • Kosh74 - In Reply - 10 months ago
He is not saved. I've taken him to church since he was a child. He knows the path, but he constantly questions the Bible.

    Kosh74,

Thank you so much for sharing this as it does help knowing how we are to pray for your son. Salvation is of the utmost importance, and I along with others here will definitively pray that the Lord will work in his heart and draw him to a place where he sees his need for Christ, and receives Him into his life. May the Lord's will be done.

God bless you and your family!

    Kosh74:

Your son is not going in the wrong direction.

God knows exactly how to CAUSE each of his children to return to him.

Each of us has to suffer in the flesh to LEARN obedience.

God's children have no knowledge of the Works of God, though suffering and touching hot stoves, we learn knowledge, and through knowledge we learn obedience.

Psalms 107:8 Oh that man would praise the Lord for his goodness, for his wonderful works to the children of men.

If you study God's word, God CAUSES ALL to RESIST his word and works, so when we return to him, we CANNOT say it was the works of OUR OWN HANDS.

David FELL, yet God said David was man after his own heart, Christ came through the BLOODLINE of David and Bathsheba.

What man calls EVIL (sin), God calls GOOD.

    God Bless YOU!

It is true that God desires a restored relationship with His children and seeks to guide them towards Him. However, it's important to recognize that God does not force or manipulate individuals against their will. While God may work in various ways to draw people closer to Him, each person has the freedom to choose whether to respond to His calling or to go in a different direction. God respects human free will and invites individuals to willingly return to Him.

. "Each of us has to suffer in the flesh to LEARN obedience."

Suffering can be a part of the human experience, and it can shape and teach us important lessons, including obedience and reliance on God. However, it is not the only means by which we can learn obedience. The Bible teaches that we can gain understanding and grow in obedience through studying God's Word, seeking wisdom, receiving instruction, and being guided by the Holy Spirit.

. "God's children have no knowledge of the Works of God, though suffering and touching hot stoves, we learn knowledge, and through knowledge we learn obedience."

While it is true that experiences can provide us with knowledge and understanding, the statement that God's children have no knowledge of God's works is not accurate. The Bible reveals God's works and His character, and as believers grow in their relationship with Him, they can come to know and understand His works more deeply. Through the Holy Spirit's guidance, personal study of the Scriptures, and fellowship with other believers, God's children can gain knowledge and insight into His works.

Also I would like to mention that What man calls EVIL (sin), God calls GOOD."

The statement that God calls sin good is not accurate. God's nature is holy and righteous, and sin goes against His perfect standards. In the Bible, sin is consistently portrayed as something that separates humanity from God and has negative consequences. God calls us to turn away from sin and walk in righteousness. It's important to align our understanding with the teachings of the Bible, which emphasize that sin is to be recognized, repented of, and overcome through God's grace.

    Jordyn,

Can you please clarify these two statements you made:

"God CAUSES ALL to RESIST his word"

"What man calls EVIL (sin), God calls GOOD."

Does God cause us to resist His word? And does God call sin good?

Am I just misunderstanding what you are saying?
  • Jordyn - In Reply - 10 months ago
    Brother Jesse:

God says that the words he speaks will not return unto him void, that all his words and thoughts will be fulfilled.

God says ALL THINGS work for the GOOD of his creation.

It was spoken from the foundation of the world that he would be betrayed by his friend that ate at the same table with him.

Man calls that man evil, God says it was good, to fulfill his words.

    Which is it?

From the foundations of the world, David and Bathsheba were chosen to carry the bloodline of Christ, they fulfilled his words, though man sees that union as a sin (evil).

The word says God created everything for his good pleasure, and he doth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth, and no one can stay his hand.

Now man call most of these things evil, God sees the end, that God will be ALL in ALL, as GOOD.

So man calls the most of the works of God evil, yet God calls his works good.

    Which is it?

Zechariah 3:1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.

We are called to be priest, in God's Kingdom, but we have to be overcomers of Satan's deception.

    Satan calls God's work evil.

    Which is it?

    God BLESS YOU!

    Okay Jordyn,

I'll take that as a yes to both my questions.

    Thanks for responding!
  • Jema - In Reply - 10 months ago
Of course you are correct . God is in complete and total control of His creation . I've been thinking a lot about this and there are all kinds of ' deep ' and 'meaningfull ' arguements and debates that could go on forever . Let's see what the Bible says ' all things work together for good to them that love God ' . What does that mean ? I think it means that people who love God can see God's love in everything , even in things that might at first appear to be very bad or distressing . Remember that God is not bound by time or space and He already knows the end of everything . He knows that His Word will be fulfilled , it already has been .

    Sister Jema:

God never intended to make his word easy to understand.

It's his way of CAUSING us to spend hours and hours WITH HIM.

    He is a jealous God.

Oh how wonderful are the WORKS of God, he sees his creation as ONE FLESH.

    God BLESS YOU!
