    Matt.3:9-12 "His Master's voice"

Here we shall consider the topics he as a messenger from God would introduce so the ministry of Jesus developed and laid out as doctrine. Jesus announced "My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me." ( John 7:16-17) As the Person specific this doctrine was in his authority to lay down. As the visible image he and his Father were one. So only way to learn of it was to do his Will. Where does that place John the Baptist. As his voice preparing a highway to Zion! "No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him."( John 1:18)

    Topic #1 Stone

"that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham."

Without faith Israel delude themselves to claim their lineage to Patriarch Abraham. New Jerusalem was founded on a sure foundation and their claims as God's chosen was consequently a self deception.

    #2 Tree of life

"And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees." His message, "every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire," resonates with parables of Jesus and of being branches to the true vine. Jesus also spoke of being planted by God. "Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up."(15:13)

Evangelist brings them together at Jordan, "Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him."

What is Jordan but the river of time beginning at Ge.1:6-7? God sends his blessing after the creation of man.

    #3 Fire

"he (Messiah) shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:/ Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."(vv.11-12)

Jesus also referred towards the end of ministry, " But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!" ( Luke 12:50)
