    Pt 1

There are terms in the Bible such as twice dead and Second death. " Jude 1:12, Revelation 2:11, Revelation 20:14 and Revelation 21:8.

Paul says in Romans 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

Which death did he die? The 1st or the 2nd?

An unbeliever is ALREADY dead! Yet he is still continuous.

( 1 Timothy 5:6.) This is a very common NT idiom. The word (noun) for "dead" is "nekros" and is used of physical death (obviously) but also spiritual death to describe an unsaved person who is physically alive but spiritually dead. Here are some examples:

Matt 8:22 - But Jesus told him, "Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead."

Eph 2:1 - As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,

Eph 2:5 - made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved.

Eph 5:14 - This is why it is said: "Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.

Col 2:13 - When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins.

Eternal Salvation is life! It is separation from this Body/Tabernacle of death.

In Romans 6:3 we see the sacrificial Lamb at work.

In Romans 6:4-5 we see the NEW BIRTH and the first fruit of the Resurrection. This is the 1st Resurrection.

You are either dead right now or you have life right now!

Those who have life has already died once and has been born again, never to die again.

"Eternal life speaks of "spiritual life and death".

That's the only death a believer has. "He's already been born again"

Those who are dead is already spiritual dead and their bodies will soon die, and they will remain spiritual dead throughout eternity.

The bible doesn't say anything about being unconscious after the body dies. It has lots of scripture describing conscious.

If the grave is Hell, the Bible never says anything about the saved going there.

    See Pt 2

    Part 2.

If we pay close attention to John 11:23-26, the resurrection refers to more than just the body in these 3 verses.

Infact there is a lot being said here.

Verse 23, Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. (He/Lazarus will take up residence in his body again.)

Verse 25, (Resurrection is viewed as a category, not an event.) " Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Verse 26, Jesus says "And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

We know Lazarus died so that doesn't apply to his physical death.

This speaks of the present eternal condition of the believer once he believe!... (Believest thou this?)

He has taken part of the "first resurrection" mentioned in Revelation 20-6. this is viewed as a category, not a sequence.

There are those who are "the living" and have eternal life who will be reunited with their glorified resurrected bodies.

There are also those who are "the dead" who will be reunited with their corrupted bodies and will be cast into Hell where there will be WEEPING AND NASHING OF TEETH.

There are no steps of absent of the body, waiting on a resurrection to have eternal life. If you have it, it is eternal.

The thing is, have you been made conformable unto his death?

    God bless.

As you said "An unbeliever is ALREADY dead! Yet he is still continuous".

    Matthew 8:21-22

21 And another of his disciples said unto Him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

    Yes Oseas,

Those who believe in Soul Sleep misinterpret Ecclesiastes 9:3-5.

This is speaking of the philosophy of the "man under the sun." They say a man is just like a dog, "When he dies, that's it."

Verse 3 says this saying or belief is "an evil among all things that are done under the sun,

Ecclesiastes 9:3 THIS IS AN EVIL AMONG ALL THINGS THAT ARE DONE UNDER THE SUN,

(THAT THERE IS ONE EVENT UNTO ALL:)

yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.

4, For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

5, For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

( THIS "THOUGHT" IS AN EVIL AMONG ALL THINGS)

The writer believes in absent of the body is to be present with the Lord.

Look ahed at Ecclesiastes 12:7Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

    God bless.

    You commented Ecclesiastes 9:3-5

Ok.My point is what my Lord JESUS said.Follow me;and let the dead bury their dead-Mat.8:22.In JESUS is life;the LIFE is the light of men, the LIGHT shineth in darkness;and the darkness comprehend it not- John 1:4-5.

Speaking of dog, what matters and prevails is what is written in Isaiah 56:10-11: 10 His watchmen are blind:they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark;sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

11Yea,they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are SHEPHERDS(Pastors)that cannot understand:they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

And my Lord JESUS warned:Re.22:15-For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

And Paul warned:Beware of dogs... Philippians 3:2

JESUS said:Out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness,blasphemies-Mat.15:19

Their throat is an open sepulchre;with their tongues they have used deceit;the poison of asps is under their lips-Ro.3:13:

Death and life are in the power of the tongue:and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

GOD warned Adam:Gen.2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil( Genesis 3:1),thou shalt not eat of it:for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Daniel prophesied:Many that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

It because dust is the food of the Serpent-Gen.3:17

The King shall say unto them on His right hand,Come, ye blessed of my Fathe

    Oseas,

Perhaps I should have added verse 2 for more context for my post to better understand the evil mentioned of men under the sun.

    HERE'S A PICTURE OF MAN'S VAIN MIND.

    Ecclesiastes 9:2.

All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath. THIS IS AN EVIL AMONG ALL THINGS THAT ARE DONE UNDER THE SUN, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead. Ecclesiastes 9:2-3

Vs 4. For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

The theme here is "the living dog, he will one day parish and never return, as well as the Lion.

However, atleast the dog is alive because according toverse2 "All things come alike to all"

THE VAIN MIND OF THE MEN UNDER THE SUN BELIEVES

( All things come alike to all")

(there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked;)

The life you have now is your portion. It's all you get.

Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 is commonly used for the belief in soul sleep.

Again, However Ecclesiastes 12:7 says otherwise.

(Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.)

    God bless.

    Greetings in Christ JESUS

Thank you for your reply. However, my point is what JESUS said and what we have learned from Him establishing here the 2nd Covenant. By the way, remember what my Lord JESUS said: Matthew 12:42

42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the Judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

My Lord JESUS said that "when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you- John 16:13-15.

About works of men, JESUS said: Maatthew 12:34-45

34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
