I have questions concerning the disposition of the body after death. I have often had comments from people about my intent to be cremated when I die. They ask how I can be resurrected if I have been cremated. To me, it is not about what is done with the shell that carried me through life, but the new body I will have on that day of resurrection. I believe that the God who formed us has the power to reform us. In short, He has my DNA as He created it!

People point to the Jewish practice of entombment, including that of Jesus. I believe it to be a personal decision, and that our God who created us, provided our salvation by stepping from heaven to die for us, also has the power to reform us whether we have rotted and seeped into the Earth or reduced to bone chalk. Death was defeated by Jesus death on the cross, and risen again. The message is that God cannot be killed, a grave could never hold him, and that He is life eternal. He has given that gift to us as well when we accept it and trust in His promise.

I love to go outside on cloudless nights and marvel at the very small glimpse of His creation. The vastness of the heavens is breathtaking! Can the same Creator of such splendor gather every molecule of me even from every corner of Earth or depths of the seas? Gaze into the splendor of the sky and be assured; yes, He can!

    Rkroller:

When Christ walked the earth and taught in parables, most people in that time got their sustenance straight from the farm.

Today very few know anything about a farm.

Without knowing the relationship of the wheat to the chaff it's most often not understood what Christ was referring to.

All the parables are about the SEED, the seed is the word of God, the kingdom of heaven is the word of God, Christ is the WORD, Christ is the SEED.

As wheat grows to produce SEED, it is in cased in a hull, a body so to speak, this hull protects the SEED and nourishes the SEED.

When the wheat is mature, this chaff (body) dies, and the SEED is harvested, in today's agriculture combine harvest the wheat, the wheat and chaff cross a shaker and a (winnowing) fan blows the chaff away and the wheat goes to the barm.

Our body is the chaff, it died, but if we have been born again by the TRUTH of God's word we become a SEED, and are translated into the barn.

You old body is now longer needed, in the blink of an eye, you put on CHRIST, the SEED.

1 Timothy 6:16 .. Christ ONLY hath IMMORTALITY, dwelling in the light....

1 Corinthians 15:54 When this corruptible shall have put on corruption, and this mortal shall have put on IMMORTALITY (Christ only hath immortality) then shall be brought to pass, DEATH is swallowed up in victory.

1 Corinthians 15:38 But God giveth IT (his SEED) a body as it hath pleased him, and to every SEED HIS OWN (resurrected) BODY

Genesis 1:12 ... whose SEED is in itself, after his kind ......

Isaiah 60:22 A little one shall become a thousand ....

Matthew 18:14 ... that one of these little ones should perish ....

Isaiah 59:21 .... this is my covenant with THEM, My Spirit that is upon thee, (MY SON), and the words that I put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, of out of the mouth of YOUR SEED, nor out of the mouth of your SEED'S SEED from henceforth and for evermore.

You were predestinate to be the IMAGE of CHRIST.

    God Bless you!
