Jesus sent the 12 disciples to preach 'the kingdom of heaven is at hand. His upbriading of Capernaum and Bethsaida leads us to discuss the clause in the key text, "And he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles".
Earlier we read that "And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities."(11:1) He was there as the Word become flesh and it was the power of God that equipped the ministry of the twelve.Did Jesus himself receive a good reception. Obviously not. "Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not." (11:20)
The Pharisees were ever at his heels to accuse him of blasphemy, "Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him./ But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all.(12:14-15).
"And departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon." (15:21).This was in accordance with the Scripture
