We haven't heard from Texsis for awhile.

I pray, LORD, that you keep her, that You bless her in every way, and that You urge her to return here and continue with us. Amen.

I have come to the point of what George Muller cried out, "O Lord God, now, please for my good and Your honor, heaven or restoration."

    Jesus healed him.

    Love you sister

Heavenly Father, I pray that Texsis return to Gigi where she belongs. Guide her, bless her with discernment, wisdom and knowledge of her life. That she please You. In Jesus Christ's name. Amen

    Hi, again, Patricia,

Texsis was posting on this forum for many months until about a month or so ago. I miss people when they don't check in with us once in a while. She moved from Texsis to Utah. We heard from her after she got settled in Utah, but then we have not heard from here since..

There are others that we regular posters here in times past. I think of them often and pray for them.

Hi Gigi, sometimes that happens. I started posting about three years ago but stopped about a year later. I became discouraged because I was not (and still am not) healed.

After many, many people (and some are still) praying for me, the Lord Jesus Christ has yet to heal me.

I know that according to His Word, by Jesus' stripes I am healed, but there is no manifestation of Him healing me.

I wonder why many of His children stay sick. We cannot be blamed of not having faith,

Well, I can keep on going, but I'll stop. I hope and will pray that she is ok.

    God bless you sister

But you have to take into account all the good advice given to you by fellow brothers and sisters. But just think of mine as well.

    Hello Pnovello

Well my opinion is that healing IS actually a matter of faith. I don't know you and the circumstances you are living under so I am talking in general. When Jesus was ministering in this world nobody who came to Him and requested their heailing was left uncured, unless there was unbelief. Mark 6:5-6, "And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief...". So it seems it was not possible even for Jesus to heal some people. Not because He did not have the power to do so but because the power of God has to meet our faith to be energized. Faith is the most essential thing in the christian belief. Through faith Abraham was considered righteous by God, through his faith he almost sacrificed Isaac and through his faith he received him back. Through our faith in Jesus' sacrifice we receive eternal life. God has chosen faith to be the condition of receiving things by Him, material things or spiritual. Without faith nobody receives anything from God. James 1:6-7, " But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. "

Jesus gave his life for us not only for our righteousness but for our illnesses as well. Isaiah 53:5, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." But as we need faith to be saved, similarly we need faith for the healing of our body and soul. Without faith non of those comes to us. We are not any different from other people, we get ill like everybody else. But we were given the right from God to ask Him to cure us and receive it. So lets energize our faith. Being close to God uplifts our faith. So lets move closer to Him. GBU

Hello Pnovello, I would echo the good advice given you by others here. The Scripture that immediately came to mind was 2 Corinthians 12:9, "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

This was the Apostle Paul who received this powerful, yet comforting Word from His Lord. As Adam wrote here, Paul was a prime example of much suffering, not just in the physical realm, but also spiritual & emotional. His life was marked by daily suffering & anguish of heart & spirit, yet he persevered in the Gospel, knowing that his sufferings were but momentary compared to 'the glory which is yet to be revealed (to us &) in us'. "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." ( Romans 8:18). See also 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.

If these great men of faith, even our sinless Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, were not immune from suffering, we know that while we are in the flesh, the workings of sin & corruption within, will always manifest itself in one form or another. My wife & I have been thus far blessed not to have any debilitating illness or injury come upon us (only the minor interruptions to sound health, because of age), yet we know that we can never take this for granted & are resting in our Father's Arms each day for whatever the day might bring forth.

Psalm 27 has always been precious to us. Sure, it was King David calling upon God as his enemies troubled him from every side, but can we not also consider that it's not just the anger of men we might face, but just living in corrupt bodies in a corrupt world that continually works against our joy & perfection in Christ? Please read this Psalm of praise & trust by David & particularly v14, "Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD."

    Hello, Pnovello,

I am sorry to know that you have an ailment that the Lord has not healed yet. We are to persevere under hardship and physical ailments is one of those hardships we face in this life. I truly hope that God will relieve you of this ailment soon, but I know He will in His time according to His will for you. I will certainly pray for Him to bring you healing. Job knew that God allowed him to be tested by so much affliction and kept his faith in God when he was in the deepest pain and suffering of the whole ordeal.

Yet, even with that, God still reprimanded Job when He met with him towards the end of his suffering. We can learn from Job about keeping faith in God no matter what happens because nothing happens in this world and throughout time that God does not allow for purposes that we may not know or understand this side of heaven. Also, we can learn from Job that God's holiness and power and wisdom is very far above ours and we should humbly honor and praise him no matter what we face.

I do hope that your faith will be built up in every way as you wait on Him. Let the Holy Spirit bring you comfort and peace in the midst of this trial.

When I have aches and pains from my back injury, my shoulder degeneration, foot pain, and arthritis, I will think of how those in times long before we were born had so much to bear without modern medicine and treatment. Even surgery was very risky before the art of sterilization of instruments, environment, and doctor/nurses hands and arms. They did not have treatments for cancers, heart disease, strokes, infections and other life-threatening medical matters. So, I will give thanks for having these options available in my lifetime and when I am really having pain, I pray for those who are in worse situations than I am presently facing. It is kind of like giving our pain up to God and asking Him to be merciful to others along with myself.

I do hope that you are encouraged today and I am glad you are with us here

    Dear Pnovello,

I read your comment about being sick affecting your faith. Sorry to hear that. To me this question seems like the same as why do bad things happen to Christians? Where does this expectation come from that God is a genie to serve us and make us comfortable, instead of us serving Him? That expectation isn't from the Bible from what I've read.

The goal of our short time of earth isn't to have perfect health and tons of money- greedy deceived people might say that but it doesn't make it true.

Jesus is God and was tortured and murdered. Not exactly a privileged human life. The top evangelist in the Bible who wrote the most books seemed to have nonstop problems, like being beaten, shipwrecked, chased, sickness, no food, no shelter, etc. 2 Cor 11. Abraham had problems. Moses had problems. Every person you'd consider a God-follower in the Bible has had major problems, including Jesus Himself, so who are we to assume we deserve to be treated higher than them?

Romans 5:3-5 - this says to rejoice in sufferings. Paul said he learned the secret to being content and it has nothing to do with physical things. The Bible says to store our treasures in heaven and not on earth. God bless.

Our healing is spiritual not physical . The body is just a shell that decays with age and ailments . I have been ill for well over thirty years , different things , some permanent some not , including stage 4 cancer ten years ago . I've had covid twice for sure but I think maybe three times , I have arthritis , sicca syndrome , fibromyalgia and a heart condition . My God has taught me many things through my ailments , lessons that I needed to learn and I'm sure I still have plenty to learn . God permitted His Son to suffer terribly for our sins , why should we think that we shouldn't suffer ? Do we think that we don't deserve to suffer ? Do we think that other people , sinners ? atheists ? idolaters ? do we think that they deserve to suffer more than we do ? We must learn than none of us are any better than anyone else , we must understand it , accept it and believe it whole heartedly . Why me ? say some . Why not me ? say I . Whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth . God brings us into submission by whatever means He sees fit , only He is righteous , we are not , not ever . Accept your lot and thank God for showing you such mercy every day . If you cannot imagine that your life could be even worse , then just watch the news and see how others live and suffer . Thanks to God for His very great mercy and generosity , Thy Kingdom Come .
