Thanks to those who prayed for our situation with house repairs and the insurance claim. We chose our contractor and have picked out the materials we wish to be installed to replace the damages. Please pray that there is not much delay in getting materials or in the availability of the workers.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. That really blesses me to know you are lifting me up in prayer. My thyroid ultrasouond showed that there are now two small nodules and that I should do a follow up ultrasound in a year. I go to the rheumatologist on Tuesday and he will evaluate why my white blood cell count is high in three of the five types of white blood cells.
Our home restoration from the pipe leak is coming along well. The flooring goes in this week as well as installing the new shower pan, walls, and doors. Then the flooring in the bathroom will be done and the vanity and toilet reset. In the other bath, the tub surround will be installed next and then the flooring, then the vanity and toilet resetting.
We spent this weekend painting rooms that will be refloored this week as some of the job is not insurance related but makes sense to do at this time. So doing the painting ourselves will save money for us. We are waiting to hear back from the adjuster to see if repainting the ceiling in the area we painted the walls will be covered since we noticed a few water spots appearing in the ceiling. Must have begun to show up as the ceiling dried. If the insurance will cover the painting, then we will have the worker remove the popcorn ceiling first and then texture and paint. The removal of the popcorn ceiling and texturing will be on us to pay for. But at least the painting may be paid for by insurance. We are faring well with all the "stuff" this involves. And it is really pleasing to me to get these things done that needed to be done decades ago when we first moved in 30 years ago.
I am thankful for the inheritance I received from my Mom when she passed almost two years ago. It will pay for what we will be doing as upgrades in this project. We will still have enough to continue to remodel all of the downstairs. So very blessed by her and thankful!
Pnovello, again, thank you for your care for me. Let me know how I can pray for you also.
Hi sis, I looked up nodules in thyroid, yes be sure and have a yearly checkup. I also looked up white blood cells and it's good you are going to the Dr. to find out the reason. It shows you how much I know about the medical field. lol
I have been looking up on castor oil. It's supposed to be very healthy. I am thinking of buying a castor oil pack. Look it up maybe it will help.
When your house is completed it will be as a new house. I bet you all are ready for it to be finished.
Well, as far as prayer for me, I am still crying over our only child. Our daughter passed away two months ago tomorrow. My heart is broken.
We prayed for another miracle (first one was in 1986). had brain surgery and, thank You Lord Jesus, I have been living a healthy life.
Well, I'll end there. Take care Gigi. Keep me posted. Your sister in Christ, Patricia.
Thanks for sharing your needs with me. I will be praying for you as you adjust with the loss of your daughter. So sad. But we are both "in the Lord" "under the shelter of His wings" and He "rejoices over us with singing", so how good is it to know the Lord Jesus, our Savior and the Father, the Almighty, and the Holy Spirit, the ever present help in times of trouble.
I, too, go to the internet to find out more about medical matters that pertain to me or a loved one. It helps me to have a better understanding of what is going on and what rests and findings mean. Since I have not had any illness or infection in the last year, it is interesting that my white blood cell count is so high. But in chronic inflammation can do this also, and I have arthritis and a rare condition called Behcet's that involves inflammatory reactions in vascular structures (veins, arteries and organs that are highly vascular (kidneys, heart, lungs) so hopefully the Dr. will do a thorough workup. Maybe will need an MRI or Cat Scan to see if something can be found that is causing my body to attack itself.
I will be praying for you often Patricia. You are going through a lot and it really hurts to lose a child no matter what age they are. May you be blessed today as you rest in God in all your comings and goings.
Oh my goodness, Gigi, I went back to the internet to learn about your ailments. I had never heard about Behcet.
Well, when it comes to God nothing is rare, nothing is incurable. We stand together and with great expectation according to God's word we claim healing. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Sis, take care of yourself, keep me updated and I am praying for you. God bless you. Thank you for praying for me.
