Is the KJB the only version inspired by the Holy Ghost? Is it the only one a Christian should read and study or are othr versions, like the NKJV, ok? Can they be trusted to give us the truth or is this a KJB only forum?

Have you heard of the dead sea scrolls ? You might find them interesting :) .

Yes, I have. I'll see about that.

    God Bless :)

To answer my question, only the KJB can be trusted. How can you not trust the Holy Spirit? Why trust anything else?

    God Bless :)

Hi Momsage :) , may I ask ? Which is your favourite old testament book and why ? It's hard to choose I know , I love Isaiah and Daniel and all the so called minor prophets , Daniel never ceases to amaze me every time I read it and Exodus is awesome . I love all the books that go from Samuel to the end of Solomon's reign and the Psalms are such a comfort and strengthener to me . Which are your favourites and why ?

I really like Genesis because chapters 1-2:4 gives us the whole story of the creation and the incredible God who did this. People who would rather believe they came from a soppy pool of acid on a rock instead of our wonderful, magnificent omnipotent God are so foolish. I know it is because a pool of soppy gunk doesn't demand anything of them but it doesn't love them unconditionally and promise an unimageable "expected end" Jer. 29:11 like our God does. It's a bad life living for yourself, even if you don't believed in evolution.

    God Bless :)

I actually like Proverbs. There is so much wisdom there and just plain Godly common sense and advice. Some I'm still struggling to understand, though. I like there are 31 chapters, also. I read a chapter a day for several months. I don't know what distracted me away from it, but I'm going back to it. Thank you Jema for reminding me with your question. :).

I will give a reply to your other comment soon.

    God Bless :)

Who is your favourite prophet ? How do you feel about king David ? He was so much a flawed human and yet loved God so much .

    I really don't have a favorite prophet.

When I was growing up in the Catholic Church I always thought Davie was the son of Solomon because Solomon was aways presented to me as an old man and David was a young man. It wasn't until I started reading the scriptures for myself, (never read them when I was a Catholic, at that time it was not "encouraged") that I realized my mistake. It made me laugh.

I do think of the story of David, his sin and repentance, as a wonderful way God has revealed to us how so loving and forgiving He is toward His children. David was an adulterer, deceiver and murderer but because he was agonizingly remorse and repentant God forgave him, set him back on the right path to being a man after His own heart.

    God Bless :)

    Hello Jema,

I would say that my favorite prophet is David because of the Psalms that God inspired him to write. The Psalms have been a continual help to me in many ways.

Like all of us, David was a sinful person, but God said of David that he was a man after God's own heart. That is how I want to be.

In the psalms, this heart for God is shown so well.

If God had not elected David since before creation, he would have been a different man altogether. But God, in His wisdom, chose David and you and me. We are forever blessed because He chose us.
