These were dislocated further from Egypt and dispersion finds them taking roots along Asia Minor and beyond. There were Jews who never returned after waves of exiles under Assyrian and Babylonian captivity.
In the larger Plan where individual salvation God had determined for his Son as the heir unto all things Imperial Rome served just as well. When Paul a Roman citizen spread the gospel of Christ he found a ready soil. As Jewish Christians were forced to flee Jerusalem due to persecution, they were able to travel to almost any part of the world and find a Jewish population and a Jewish synagogue from which to share the gospel of Christ.
Jesus Christ before his Ascension would tell his disciple thus: "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth./Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"(Matt.28:18-20) "Teach ye all nations" is a commandment.
