I'm seeking Truth, has anyone read Isaiah 7:14? The Father Named His Son Immanuel, why then was it changed? J E S U S is Latin right? He was a Hebrew. So I'm confused why we wouldn't call Him Immanuel what His Father Named Him. Also in the preface of my Bible it tells me they the translators or scribes changed His Name. I don't see anywhere in the scriptures where He said to do that. In fact I see where He specifically says not to add or take away from His Word. Changing His and His Son's name is doing exactly that. He tells us in Jeremiah they are going to do it and that they would pervert His Words. I know I can't be the only one seeing this.

Thank you for your responses. I'm seeking Truth and will continue to thank. I sincerely appreciate it. I been lied to my whole life in school and churches so I question everything but it has given me a passion for the Scriptures and to learn new words and languages.

    Hi Boyd.

I would like to second what Brother Ronald has shared with you.

    It is a translation.

The entire king James Bible has been translated into English except for a few words.

Jesus is not the only Name or word that has been translated.

It was needed to be done unless you can read and understand Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.

    God bless.

    Thanks brother S Spencer,

Discussions with you and others who once inspired each other out of love to study for the truth are missed. Things have changed that does not fit the name of this site, King James bible DISCUSSION.

God bless you and your family.

Dear Brother hello and thank you for your previous messages that I have enjoyed very much . The Body of Christ is made up of very many different people from all countries and cultures and human experience this is reflected in our personalities which are all unique and all loved by our Lord . People are very very different and we all have our own unique way of expressing ourselves based on our personalities and perspectives which are as I said unique . This is a good thing I think . I don't believe that we should try to put ourselves or each other in boxes that give us strict boundaries on how we express ourselves . We already know that we are all Christians on here and therefore living our lives in the love of our Lord .That should be enough to inspire love and respect for each other . To make us all think and speak the same way is making robots and our Lord wants humans . First Corinthians chapter twelve is all about how we are all different and allowed to be so as we have the same Spirit of Truth in us . We can discuss on here as long as there are people to discuss with and if we are unhappy with things as they are then all we have to do is....start a discussion ourselves . Those who wish to join in will and those who don't won't . Discussions need people first and foremost but if the discussion is heated or impolite people may not feel willing or even able to join in . I hope you are not offended by me and my post I want to say what I truly feel but not offend I hope I have done both . Please forgive me if I have failed .

    Hi Jaz,

You have not offended me at all, saying what you truly feel is what we should all do. I feel most all on this site do this without any intent to offend. Like you said we are many members, but one body and it is not for our glory, but all the members working together for the glory and grace of God which is given us by Jesus Christ.

I look at discussions as an opportunity for the truth to be revealed to us if done in love and respect and if we are open to it and humble ourselves and not with the attitude, we already know the answer, that is what I love about this site. I understand what you have said and thank you for that.

    God bless,

    Thanks Brother Ronald.

I've been checking in daily and have noticed the change in discussions.

Not many posts or questions on Salvation, Justification or Sanctification.

My wife and I has been vacationing as we do this time of the year in celebrating our anniversary. We took a trip last month and we're going on another on the 19th.

Thanks again and God bless you and all that you do.

Dear Brother I hope you are not offended by me . There are many other subjects worthy of discussion other than those three that you mentioned . There are many fascinating things going on in the Bible and the more we read and understand the stronger our faith gets . There are many examples of humans living their ordinary lives and the challenges they faced these examples are helpful to us as we try to balance our lives in this world while we try to keep our eyes looking toward better things in the world to come . I have only just started commenting on here after reading this message group for a few years . I was nervous to join in as I noticed things can get very heated and sometimes cross the line of brotherly and sisterly love so I was reluctant . Everyone one here seems open to discuss their messages and I like it when things are calm and polite . I'm very happy with this site now more than I was with it in the past when things seemed a bit aggressive to me so I wouldn't join in . Please forgive me if I have offended you by interrupting your conversation .

    Hello.

    Thanks for responding.

I don't quite get what you are replying.

I stated, "I've been checking in daily and have noticed the change in discussions.

Not many posts or questions on Salvation, Justification or Sanctification.

I didn't say the other topics wasn't worthy of discussion.

I was replying to Brother Ronald's liberty to state, 'Things have changed that does not fit the name of this site, King James bible DISCUSSION. End quote.

I hope I didn't offend you. No you certainly didn't offend me

You said you have only just started commenting on here after reading this message group for a few years and was nervous to join in as you noticed things can get very heated and sometimes cross the line of brotherly and sisterly love so so was reluctant .

Well that sure do sound familiar.

    However enjoy the site.

    God bless.

Hello Dear Brother . As you read the Bible you will see that very many names have poinient meanings a concordance will help you with this . Throughout the Bible people have had their names changed by other people or even by God Himself . This is something that you should study for yourself and you will discover that it's not uncommon .

    Hi Boyd,

The name of our Savior, Jesus that means "YHWH saves" Matthew 1:21-23 and Luke 1:31-32 the angel Gabriel told Mary to name the Son of God so that it may be fulfilled that was spoken of the LORD by the prophet Isaiah 7:14. they shall call His name Immanuel meaning God with us, nothing has changed. Jesus comes from the Hebrew word Yehoshua same as Jehoshua or Joshua, the Greek form is Iesous English is before the letter J it was Iesus now Jesus, it is just transliteration or translation from one language to another.

There were many back then with that name but only this Jesus is referred to as Jesus Christ or Christ Jesus, in Hebrew Yehoshua Moshiach, who is the Son of God, Jesus's identity, and His mission that His Father sent Him to do. The name Immanuel means with us is God, the presence of God in His Son that we see in the New Testament not His personal name. Like Jesus told Philip in John 14:7-11.

This is my understanding maybe others will have other comments, pray, and study, truth comes only from the Spirit of truth.

    God bless,

    RLW
