Esther 5:8 symbolises the amazing manifestation of grace by Our Lord Jesus Christ. This type of favour is uncommon, unrivalled, undeserving, miraculous through divine intervention. We learn through this scripture that God placed a divine mission or appointment on an ordinary young woman called Esther. We also learn that Esther is a woman of immense faith and boldness in spirit. She is chosen by God as a divine intervention to the King who has made a decree of death on the Jewish people. Esther's uncle is among the incarcerated, but Esther is prayerful and favoured with elegance and beauty. These attributes trigger a strong attraction to the King who becomes affixated to Esther's glowing beauty and charisma. The Bible says Esther was "fair". But don't get this wrong; it was not a fair look alone, it was a divine attraction of favour upon Esther. This was God's way of saving the Jews through a young woman of faith and perserverance. So this wonderful scripture teaches us about humility, kindness, hope, joy, change, prayerfulness, relating to God closer, determination and so much more. God's grace is for all mankind. No matter how bad our situation may be, there is hope and we should be like Esther.
