I greet all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I am going to talk about tha said biblical verse. in my understanding the verse doen't say a man must abandon his parents, but it says must'cleave' to her wife. but in todays generation it apear as if the verse says a man must forget completely about his parents regardless of the situation his parents are in. for example,some man grown up in a family where the father has long passed away and left mother with other children to take care off. But because of misinterpretation of this verse you will find a man forgetting about his siblings and instead helping her spouses family.consequently the inlaws develop a deap hatred to her doughter in law. therefore i urge you man of God to interprete this verse clearly when uniting us with Holy matrimony.
