  • Peter McCallister on Psalms 23 - 11 years ago
Psalms 23 to me represents word for word what the author who wrote it (King David) went through in life 'literally' and by doing so he is relating to the reader that if you stand upright and walk through life in righteousness with our lord this will be your reward so to speak,or this is what to expect, as you know if your familiar with the old testament he was righteous thru mostly his whole life and our lord recognized this he was anointed with oil to succeed Saul as king of his people, & was successful in all his military conquests in defeating all his enemies to make the nation of Isreal, and to put it briefly he trusted in God since before he defeated Goliath, and God blessed him by choosing him to create Isreal and lead all its people and become an icon of righteousness/author of many psalms of wisdom that he learned by pure experience. Thus making it one of if not thee most loved and recognized of all in the book of psalms, and also one of my favorite nightly prayers to our Lord and Savior.
