If Joseph was the biological father of Jesus then Jesus would have been born with Adam's sinful nature which was passed to every human being. He would have been born a sinner and then would not have been able to be the sacrifice for the sins of others, as He would have had to die for his own sin. Clarify - we are not sinners because we sin. We sin because we are sinners. Born sinners. No one has to teach us to lie, disobey our parents, lust, or steal. We do those things because it is our nature. Hence, the biological Father of Jesus Christ is God, not Joseph. I'm in agreement with Mas on this point.
