    Edom itself is not a place, its a people, hence Jacob and Esau. Those who descended from Jacob/Israel are known as Israelites and those from Esau, Edomites. They inhabited the land of Idumea and then later stole Israels identity ( Psalm 83). So those currently in the land of Israel are nothing more than impostors ( Revelation 2:9) This chapter is talking about the restoration of the Most Highs chosen people and destruction of those who have been hard at work for thousands of years attempting to destroy them. America is the daughter of Babylon, spoken of in Isaiah 13, Jeremiah 50, 51 and Revelation
