(Verse 6) "Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed King. He will answwer him from his holy heaven and rescue him by his great power."
Jesus said that the Psalms talk about him. So this is Jesus talking about himself as he defeats death death and raises himself from the dead. Satan tried to destroy him, but he prevailed.
In fact, the whole Bible is about Jesus and the way he saves us. Because if we are not saved, nothing that we can do will be of any value. What good is it to be rescued from temprol trials just to end up in hell because we are not saved. Do you see the point!
If we call ourselves Christians, we must fix our eyes on Jesus, our Savior. We must learn to see his saving works all through the Bible. That is, we must learn to see Jesus in everything that is written about our salvation, even in the Old Testament.
Too, we must understand that Jesus is the way God spoke to us in the days of old, as well as the way he speaks to us today. As it is said, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."
