For Mike above; you are clearly in the fires of affliction.
Do you truly believe in God? Because if you do, then you must know that this life is only the beginning, and not the end. This is why Christians rejoice always, because they know that they will meet their loved ones again in paradise, assuming that they were the Lord's too. All tears will be wiped away, and in His presence is fullness of joy.
"The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord". We are told to worship the Creator, and not the blessings He has given us; in this case, your parents and your wife.
But if your sole interest is in this transient world, then truly, things are unendurable. Perhaps God is calling you to look upon the end of all things; an end which can only ever be fully satisfying if spent in His presence.
Remember, where your heart is, there is your treasure also.
But once you ask the Lord Jesus to enter your life and your heart, then He has said that He will hear you, and grant you your request.
"Seek first the Kingdom of God, and all these things will be added to you".
God bless, and keep, and strengthen you. "All things work together for good to them that love God".
