Rick Harman What you said reminds me of when God made a promise to Abraham it didn t come to pass till long after nevertheless it did come to pass Romans 8 28 is still in the Bible and from what I read from your comment it looks like the pain keeps you glued to his word which is definitely a great blessing I myself struggle to stay in his word Try looking at other ways it is a blessing to you Ask the Lord to show you When you look back on your situation in eternity you ll then see God s hand in it more clearly and will then be glad you went through it rather than it had just went away He knows what is best and anyone who sends their son to die for you while you were yet still an enemy of his is a person who definitely has what is best for you in mind Remember that the devil is hoping that you ll get discouraged and get mad God for still having to endure it for so long Don t let the enemy have his way You may be thinking But I can t bear this much longer Yea by your own strength that may be true Isaiah 26 4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength You can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth you I know that all this can be easier said than done but it is not to be done in your own strength anyways Keep fighting the good fight soldier and may God bless you with comfort and understanding I ll be praying for you
