I think Paul writes about women s hair being shaven or short or long only in his epistle to the Corinthians There is a good reason for this Corinthos at that time was one of the big ports in the south east of Europe It was inevitble that there were many common women in the city The Society had put a rule that these women should shave their head so they would be recognized Many of these women believed in Paul s preaching and came to church with shaved head A confusion started in the church I suppose that s when Paul decided to put some order in the church and thus came the head covering Still whatever the reason my belief is that when a woman is prophesying or praying in church she should wear a head covering
