Anyway they didn 't start getting straight on the Gentiles being saved by grace through faith until Acts 10. The Lord had to get Peter straight on his doctrine and they were baptized in the name of the Lord. The Father is called LORD in Jude 5 and the O.T. and the Son is called Lord in Phil 2 verse 11 and the Holy Spirit is called Lord in 2Cor 3 verse 17 and that is Gentile baptism matching Matthew 28 verse 19. You can 't find Acts 2 verse 38 being repeated again. Look at the words in the verse not what your pastor says they say. Please see that in Acts 10 they received the Holy Ghost before baptism in verse 47 then were baptized in the name of the Lord. It did not say Jesus name. You have to go by the text, not what you insert in it. By Acts ch 15 the apostles have their doctrine straight because they have realzed the Jews as a nation have completely rejected the Messiah and He has turned to the Gentiles. See in ch 15 the same Peter of Acts 2 38 says in 15 verse 9 PURIFING THEIR HEARTS BY FAITH and in verse 11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we sahll be saved, EVEN AS THEY.
