I suppose that walking in ungodly counsel, standing in the way of sinners, and sitting with scorners, is quite the opposite of kindly declining when among such counsel, witnessing Jesus and the good news in the way of sinners, and carefully contributing serious virtue for the scorners to consider. For a person (being a new creation in Christ), to simply avoid the ungodly, would not help them, and likely miss a blessing ourself. In 1 Cor. 9:19-23, Paul shares how he goes out of his way, so that by any means he may save some. However, wandering into questionable environment without being adequately enclosed in Jesus would likely be hazardous. "Going into all the world" Matt. 28:19, may be nearby.
