Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 10 years ago
Then you picked out Corinthians 14 38, however if you read Verses 37 and 39 you will get the whole picture. If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues . In these passages of scriptures Paul was talking about the gifts of the spirit. This included the speaking in tongues as the spirit of God give utterance. He wanted to let everyone know that if they do not acknowledge what he has written then let him be ignorant, but he did not say to forbid anyone from speaking in tongues. Now as far as I know, I have steadfastly stood on the Word of God and have acknowledged both the baptism and the speaking with other tongues as the spirit of God give them utterance. Therefore, if you were directing this scripture to me then you are misdirecting because I acknowledge the Apostles doctrine without a shadow of a doubt. I believe in what Paul wrote.
